Can I replace 2012 Talas air spring with a 2015 Float air spring on a Fox 36?

I don't really use the travel adjust that much on my Talas and it is far less supple than the Floats I have tried, so I have been thinking about replacing it with either a Float airspring or Van coil.

Question is, can I put the redesigned 2015 Float airspring in the 2012 Talas chassis or am I out of luck here?

Also, would the RLC damper be of an issue? I have read that the RC2 on the Van has a bottom-out protection, that is not needed on the Float due to it's progressiveness, but what about the Talas RLC?

It's all 36, but it appears that 2015/2016 air parts are not compatible with older forks.
I sent an email asking about this to mojo.co.uk and this is their response:

The 36 chassis changed for model year 2015/2016 so later airside parts are not compatible - in fact no later parts are useable in the MY 2011-2014 fork. The latest air side assembly would be a 2014 type although we still have stock of the 2011 type which are more flexible in terms of travel adjustment. Prices and part numbers as follows.

820-02-230-KIT (T) Air Shaft Assy, 2014 36 26in FLOAT 160 £48.00
234-04-436 Neg Plate, 2013 36 26in FLOAT 160mm £6.72
820-05-187-KIT 2011 36 Light 160 FLOAT Air Topcap Assembly £47.15

Alternatively (use with 820-05-187-KIT)
820-02-082-KIT Service Set: 2011 36 Light 160 FLOAT Air Piston Assembly £43.08
234-04-059 Spring Hardware: Neg Spring Plate, 36 £4.84
From what I found on the internet, the structural change in the chassis is due to the new air negative spring.
