my Ridemonkey growler filled with......water
I just got a new pair of Shimano DX shoes. They provide stickers to seal cleat slots; I decided not to use them - when water gets in, I want it to run back out, not sit there making foot soup.6AM on a Sunday seems a bit early... going on a trail ride this afternoon for my first ride with the new XC flats which appear to be super grippy.
Yesterday, while looking for my can of Park grease, I found and entire box of shoes that included a pair of Six Six Ones that I only wore once because of the huge mount of padding in the tongue. I bought them while living in Washington and decided shoes that did not dry out quickly were a bad plan. I don't ride in the rain anymore.
I still have about 20 boxes of crap from our move in 2008, they are labeled garage and I have no idea what is in them.
where are you going to go??Might head to the mountains for first DH runs of the year.
Granby Ranch, it's not great but it's an easy place for the wife to get her first DH runs in.where are you going to go??
I wish puking was the only thing keeping me away from W this summer. FML.was supposed to go to whistler. am puking instead. FML
FTFY30 miles over 4 hours on the mtb today. I still feel good and could have ridden more. Pork sandwich was so tasty when I got home with 1.5 hour drive to get home. I deserve two beers
I confess, I gave yet to put anything in the growler besides water, so far.
Wife crushed it, she finally got to ride her festivus gift.Might head to the mountains for first DH runs of the year.
Must spread rep for wife. Your wife seems pretty dang awesome.
Always a fun ride and nice to have the closed road to make the loop, definitely sucky having to mingle with traffic instead.Hoping to ride Kitsuma tomorrow if it doesn't rain. The Forest Service is closing Point Look Out for repairs starting Tuesday. This is the old gated road that goes back to the Kitsuma trailhead. The other way is longer, and with traffic.
Haven't ridden it in many years, hope it works out tomorrow.
You are a brave man.The good news is that all travel after this (1 + 3 year old + Japan) will be easier.
It was now or never if I wanted my 93 year old grandmother to meet my kids since Jessica is finally getting back into the workforce (in theory). You are a brave man.
What is your itinerary for while you are here? getting up high at all?Hit REI, Costco, and Sunrise Mountaineering today. A few toys for me and some outdoor clothing for her in preparation for going to Grand Teton National park in 7 weeks. Got a Bear can for the food, Bear spray, fish trough for measuring fish on the Kayak (avoids DFG ticket). tent repair continues, Yesterday I recoated 2/3 of the rainfly with new urethane waterproofing. Today I patched the hole were the heavy plastic window used to be on the tent fly door flap(Very useless and yellowed). I glued in a roughly shaped ripstop patch, once it dries I will trim it close to the needed size then finish gluing and sealing the edges into place
tent set up with the final patch trimmed and glued drying in the sun
Dunno, However we have a great score in the Park itself. My buddy is the Senior Ranger and we will be staying on a pad next to his residence in our camper away from the masses of Turons. Bringing the Kayaks, float tubes and fly rods. What is your itinerary for while you are here? getting up high at all?
