Still sick. No work for me, but no biking either. Plus, this heat wave is killing me, not to mention my kid waking up at 5....

Coffee then heading into work. Did not get a notificaion last night one way or the other bout having a route today. It would be nice to turn on the route computer when I arrive and see nothing scheduled for my rig so i cn just turn around and go home....doubt that will be the case though.

Coffee is brewing, Ibuprofen starting to kick in and its is going to be in the mid 90s today

Morning Monkies! Holidays are the best. My legs are a bit noodly this morning but nothing hurts. If the weather cooperates I'll hit the trails again this afternoon, if not I'll go for a road ride in between thunder showers. Yesterday's rain lasted all of 10 minutes and I was already back at the wagon. This weekend = success. I should shave.

I'm seriously tired today. I'm avoiding getting coffee at the moment, due to people being in the lunch room chitchatting. I do not want to chitchat.

Laying about doing nothing. Rode Pioneer for the last time yesterday, had fun on a fun trail. Not too hairy at all...

May go to the gym and flog myself today. Waiting to move sucks. Watched my stuff drive away the other day...boredboredbored...

And by the way folks, please dont forget the reason for the holiday. There are many who never will because their loved one isnt with them...

Kids still sleeping. I slept in solidly until 9. Wife did, too, although she awoke in the night for a bit.

Perhaps I shall buy a lawn mower and mow the lawn today. Electric, of course.

Coffee shop closed, so Monster consumed. New track composed, stealing a sample from 70's The Exorcist trailer. Gym done. Mouse trapped. Time for lunch and more bass playing.

Hit Tiger Mountain. Parking lot was a complete shit show but saw little traffic on the trails except for at bottom. Legs felt surprisingly good seeing how little I have ridden in the past month.

Hard to tell from this picture but it was indeed raining.

This weekend was rough. My SI joint and lower back are out of whack. Combine that with hacking phlegm at all hours and you have an Idea of how things are. Perfect weather though. I commandeered another 20lbs of cherries for the bbq tonight also.

Just got home from work and was going to go riding, as it is absolutely beautiful outside, but damn am I ever exhausted and just not feeling it.

I will most likely regret this decision in about 30 minutes, but oh well. I need to just relax, hit the bong shed and try to go to bed before 12am for once.

I've also decided to put the Subaru up for sale after my road trip in July. Fun car, but fuck that gas mileage.

Does anyone here own a Mazda 5?

Mazda5? Congrats on getting some girl pregnant :D

My new-to-me/refurb Kindle Paperwhite came today. It is quite a beautiful bit of kit, and should inspire more reading. I was using the Kindle app on my 4.5" iPhone, which is less than ideal. (Kindle books checked out via the local library rock.)

Well, high there. On a plane again. Florida is the pits. except for my family, they are alright. was fun visiting them & bonding with my little niece. I cant wait to get her into the mountains. Little Florida girl needs some elevation i think.

Im headed to A-basin this week if any CO monkees want to head up for some late season turns.

Come on, they are minivan-ish, but not THAT minivan-ish! :D

99% of the time I'm either driving to work or driving to trails, so it seems like a great mix of being car-like, but having plenty of room to just toss my crap in the back.

They also seem to be pretty well priced, even for low mileage examples. And you can get them with a manual transmission. They also seem to get as good mpg in the city, as I currently do on the freeway in the Subaru and I won't have to bother with dumping 93 or 94 octane in it.

I also had a Mazda 3, previously, which I rather liked; other than the insane amount of rust from that era.

Somebody built some additions to my Tree platform. Left me a box of screws and some lumber also. 7 sheets of Celotex and a sheet of 3/4" plywood. Very impressive work. Much better then mine.

My dad is a big car guy and also a mazda guy he likes that one...i think it is that one. I usually zone out when he talks about cars.

For me it is for Meditation and Relaxing place. I want to keep it a platform so it doesn't attract attention. Just a cluster of trees out in the woods in a local park. I kind of find building shit Therapeutic. I have a hammock between 2 trees 35' up in a tree. I reset there...

I can walk there in 10 minutes.

My brother and I both share the high place gene. My brother has no fear in most situations. He can slack line awesome. I cannot. Ride a wheelie. No problem. me... I cannot to save my life.

Sweet. What year is yours? Any issues compared to the 3? Any rust?

Also being realistic, is it really much bigger on the inside than the 3? Can you fit a bike in there (I'm guessing no..)?

Yes.
We got an '09 with about 80k kms on it.

We're in BC so rust is rarely a problem out here. I think the clutch is on its last legs though.

You could fit a bike in without the front wheel on, but a hitch rack solves that.
