Quick question: is the angle adjustable? It kind of looks like yes, but I can't find a great picture.

The lever looks like a good option for me to get a shifter style lever for my Thomson Covert, which uses a lever end clamp for the cable.

Any reviews of the Transfer, recommend? Thinking about it for my pivot.

I have the Southpaw. It's much better than the stock KS remote. Getting it to stay put on my handlebar took some fidgeting...

I wish more cable actuated posts used the barrel on the cable at the post, and a clamp at the remote. Getting cable and housing lengths dialed with the KS internal routing was a bigger PITA than it needed to be.

Yup. Clamping at the remote end with an internally routed post is way easier to deal with routing wise.

Some important updates on the lever for @kidwoo:
  • It came in a box
  • It appears to be made out of some kind of metal. I assume it's beryllium
  • It weighs more than nothing, but less than my coffee mug. The mug is about 65% full right now
  • A cable AND housing were included
  • There's a little plastic dohicky that spins on it
  • The hardware is metric

There will be a lever soon to be released (cough interbike) for the people that like adjustable, good working, well thought out parts. Said lever will likely be at anodizing as we speak, but for the time being a teaser pick is in order, with some details.
  • Cable at lever with easy access (no set screws- proper clamp)
  • Massive sealed cartridge bearing pivot (it laughs at puny rsc)
  • Sits close to bar (more so than most)
  • Breakaway lever axles (not even sure where but I bet it's a good thing)
  • Mounts to brake lever or bar (proto v2_unlimited floated in space next to bar at an equilateral distance from your thumb at all times but was cost prohibitive for market)
  • But wait there's more....that's for later (really if you thought about the first one you could figure out why it's going to be great, the second is just hotness on top of a rad cake in the shape and likeness of a singed VHS copy of RAD the movie)

I hope you'll have more luck with it than me.

WTF were they thinking??

That is what I was babbling about. A friend of mine thought it up and I wanted to help, this thread seemed like a good place to do it. Having solid clamping point at the lever means the post can have the cable either way and still work smoothly. It is the best one I have used so far.

Last I talked they would be available at or just after release. I don't know a date but anodizing happened already. This will not be the typical preview at interbike avalibe in spring. It really should be soon.

Ingenious.

I suppose it puts the fiddly end at a more accessible end... otherwise, just different to be different?
Especially for internally routed posts. The Thomson Covert does the routing like that too.

Can confirm, the Fox lever kind of sucks. :(

Shit, they are all sold out of the normal version. They only have the "will only work until shimano/sram change mounting standards again" version.

It's modular, it mounts to Shimano / SRAM / standalone clamps via a simple bracket that I'm sure will be available as a spare part if you need to change. I've mounted mine via a SRAM clamp I've used with a reverb 3rd party remote.

Yeah got one on the way. Picked up my seatpost at the LBS today though and they ordered the goddamn wrong one. I wanted the Performance model because it matches my all black bike. They ordered the Kashima.

Got it all mounted up and ready to go, got the correct Transfer now (black). The lever is nice, appears to work well. Post is significantly heavier than my 125 Specialized Blacklite, but on this bike it's more about function. Now when the temps get out of the teens, I'll go try it.
