Riding the baggage carousel.

Kitchen table removed and replaced with new as required by wife-bot. Pretty sure the new table is built using majority Tungsten and Depleted Uranium. Jesus, it's heavy, but if we ever have an earthquake or minor nuclear war, we will have an appropriate shelter.

Got some sleep last night, so I've got that going on for me.

Still having weird dreams. In this last a fat and still alive Robin Williams was avoiding a comedy club where they don't laugh in response, just snort.

starting the coals on the BBQ we should have a nice slowly cooked turkey at around 3pm. Going hiking with Ruth and the two younger dogs this morning. Jake the old guy gets guard duty (not that he could handle the hike at 13 years old) at the house.

In hell. Welcome!
New cat sitting lady introduced to the cats and was shown the house. The scramble to make the house look reasonably clean was rather stressful earlier. Not sure what I am going to do on this beautiful day but chances are, I am going to cap it with a late afternoon ride, and then some beers.

Nowhere Man!
Every year my friend opens his grill stand in the Ghetto. He does it in the vacant lot next to his house. Sets up a big party tent. All the neighbors stop by and set up their grills and have friendly competitions. All the food and liquor is shared. Everyone that can afford it brings a plate to pass. Vets just need to show up. Mostly folks just show up. Dice get thrown, Beers get drunk, Smack gets talked, and copious amounts of delicious chicken gets eaten. I am attending it again this year. I am making hot sausage sliders and scalloped potatoes. They call me the bike guy. I bring my tools and try to fix all the kids bikes so I am not expected to cook but I still do. I am riding my bike there this year. As the evening usually progresses I lead a bike ride through the neighborhood and all the drunk folks yell from their porches at the white guy riding a bicycle through their neighborhood. Had a Police escort 2 years ago. Fun will be had....

Hi. My name is mandown. All I do is sleep and play solitaire on my phone while binge watching cartoons on Netflix, in between frequent trips to the bathroom. Thanks, bacteria. You've made all my dreams come true.

I unexpectedly got about 4 contiguous more or less uninterrupted hours to myself, so I wrote a paper I'd promised to write before July.

Solo ride today. Made a new friend on the trail and got my north coast rox on. I need to travel to this place up north more often, the rox rock. Place is a privately owned spot and the dude has some of the techiest trails I've ever ridden. The owner is always in the parking lot chatting up the visitors and I've never seen him not smiling. Guy loves what he does/has. I'd gladly pay more than the $10 he asks for. Its all flat, but gut wrenching climbs up roots and rox and moar rox.

Dude was just out sunbathing. Didn't seem to give a shit that I just racked my asshole off my seat getting up onto this rock.

Todays view. One of the smooth spots.

gopro vid coming, assuming there anything worthy of showing on it.

BBQ turkey is almost ready. internal temp is 163* . Hiked with Ruth and our dogs for two hours in the hills. much fun.

I dug out my backpacking gear and loaded up my pack in preparation for a trip. If I don't share a tent my gear total sans food is 27 pounds. We have to have separate cook wear and food due to his food allergies. Bear cans are a royal pain in the ass due to all the space they take up. I tend to load the extra space inside with gear in addition to the food. It felt good to have a pack on my back again and reawaken the long disused synapses that tell you how to properly adjust your pack for load.

on edit: dinner is served

Good ride this evening. Hero dirt, roxx and roots just a little damp for extra fun, not too bad weather if it wasn't for the oppressive humidity that must he been hanging around 100% in the woods. Now Brewmaster Jack's Crushendo IPA and some protein-rich dinner to follow a bit later.

Drying out my tent and ground sheet now from last weekend in PA. I've counted 6 dead spiders so far. What the hell dudes, why so many spiders down there????

On beer #5. I seem to have a problem that there is an open one before the last one is done.

Almost forgot.... Took a pic for @stevew today.

Please note: Although I liked your post, I do not consent to that liberal use of green olives. :bad: Otherwise, if I'm ever in CA I'm camping in your driveway and having some of your bbq. :D

Trails were ridden, fun was had, beers now being drunk from the deck admiring the snowy mountains while being dive-bombed by hummingbirds.

Sitting on the porch, drinking beer, listening to rain and crickets.
Probably no riding on tap this weekend. Neck hurt like hell Saturday, migrated to below my right shoulder blade today. Here's to hoping I still have some muscle relaxers.
