Good Morning!!!

Since I had to remove the mower deck to get at that jacked-up belt, I went ahead and did some maintenance to it while I had enough beer on hand. Here's to hoping I remembered to tighten everything back that I loosened.

Trying to wrap everything up that I can this week, because I'm taking Friday off to go do more fishing.

Keep grinding it out. You never know who is watching and taking notes.

'Morning. Back in the office after a week of playing Ironman sherpa at Mont-Tremblant for a couple of friends. I was tempted to sign up and race when I got there but I resisted the urge. I did get a crapload of riding and running in though...160 miles of riding and 40 miles of running over the six days. Good times.

Mornin peeps!

Took care of a slew of things last night that I had been putting off, whipped up some salmon with Palisade peaches, and got some before a decent'ish night of sleep. I guess I'm ready to attack today?

Have been to two buildings so far today and am about to make my way to the third. It'll be nice to actually sit with some coworkers instead of working solo.

Trying to decide if I should drive to Ottawa Friday night, do some riding Saturday and then head to Kingston to ride along the lake for a bit. What else am I going to do this weekend?

Got the fitting for the dog pole last night, harness comes today, will be riding tonight. I hope to ride all week getting her ready for much dirt on Saturday. Or at least as much as I can handle.

Feels like Tuesday.

Work today, pack for Northstar tonight, leaving after work tomorrow. Wife called when I was leaving work last night and said she was going to the gym and taking the kids, so had an impromptu ride last night. Managed perfect timing in the twilight and wrapped up right as it was getting too dark to see. Even saw a deer.

That sounds pretty tasty...you grill those peaches, or anything special?
My usual procedure is to slice the salmon at 1/2" increments through the thicker section (so it cooks at the same rate as the thinner part), rub both sides with olive oil then salt and season before throwing it in a screaming hot oiled cast iron pan. After getting it properly seared on both sides I put the sliced peaches on top and finished it in the oven. The peaches are super duper sweet this year so I didn't grill it, if the flavor was a bit sub-par I would have to give it a little life.

First day back at work from a small vacation. I like vacation way better than work, but mortgages don't pay themselves. Did manage to ride a bunch of bikes though.

Hello all. Got the oil changed in ye olde Land Cruiser at Comprehensive Car Care, possibly for the last time during my ownership. Edited a paper a bit. Enjoying not being on clinical service, and no one is yelling at me over email for not being physically in my office, so win?

Weather is looking good for the weekend:

Would you be off-roading yet? Let me know if you're in town, I could see about going for a beer. It's going to be a busy weekend for me, getting the kids ready for school on Tuesday and whatnot, but I think I could swing going for a beer. And then of course, Sunday morning is my weekend ride-time if you can make it.

Thankfully I timed my vacation to only be in office two days this week. Weather forecast for the foreseeable future is sunny and mid 70s. I foresee riding bikes and drinking beer in the forecast as well.

Report back on conditions. I want to make a N* trip before the end of the season but not if the trail maintenance crew spent the whole summer in the bong shed. I got all the blown out moon dust I need for one season at Downieville last weekend.
