In hell. Welcome!
Monster thunderstorm last night with mucho lightning, it was awesome. Now back in the salt mine with half healed face. Gonna be a very stressful week, presenting some work to the top boss. If he does not like, I may be looking for new jerb soon again. :panic:

Mornin!

It’s Monday and I don’t have a job to go to, so that’s pretty cool. Of course, I am working all damn day getting everything ready to move, so that’s probably harder than work anyway.

Also, my iPhone X has apparently decided it not longer wants to join the WiFi network as of yesterday. No changes to network settings or the phone, it just refuses to join and stay connected. This phone SUCKS. :stosh:

Morning Monkeys.

Monday and I have no idea what is going on after the meeting I had Friday. Spent a couple hours out at PIR for the first annual Taste of Motorsports. Lower turnout than expected, but still a cool event. Some really cool rides along with some pimp exotics.

Did not ride Sunday as the wife is sick and her niece moved in last night so we (I) was preparing her room. Our house is at capacity now and I want to move away. I really miss just the 2 of us.

Wooo Booo Monderp.

Not the most of exciting weekends. Last nights donkey bike ride was fun, though. Even got to watch this kid on the pier try to retrieve a floating lure from the water. Not only did he slip into the water, but he tried tossing his iPhone back up onto the pier and completely missed. He watched the phone slip down between the rocks. Felt sorry for the guy, but lol's were had.

rode yesterday with someone new. local dude. had a good time despite the heat. wife got the older kid a power wheels, so i had to put it together. he's kinda into it? he's excited by it but is still getting the hang of something that "goes". oh well. pool yesterday too, daughter is finally getting into the whole concept of a pool, which is rad. grilled burgers, drank beers. surprise rain storm after dinner, but my son saw his first rainbow, which was cool.

also, i am really digging this air fryer. made bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers saturday night. sooooooooo good. i still have the ingredients, so i will probably be making more soon.

What makes the air fryer....fry? I mean what makes it different than lets say just baking stuff in the oven?

honestly, calling it a fryer probably isn't technically accurate. its more of a high powered convection oven, but with a higher powered fan and the internal airflow is optimized to remove moisture. so the use of oil is pretty much optional, but generally you at least want to spray some oil on the basket itself so things don't stick to it while cooking. if you're cooking anything with oil, you just toss/spray it to get a light coating on it before cooking.

Srsly. Her nephew moved in last year for about 3 months. He didn't like doing things for himself, so he moved back home. Now the middle child is trying life outside of Hicksville and we shall see.

At least it made the wife go through the junk room. Several trips to Goodwill and one dump trip next weekend. That room hasn't been walked in for at least 4 years.

<edit> the wife made it out early. Both her sisters still live there (a few blocks from where they grew up), mom was there, grandma there. Typical small town fear. The wife wants the kids to see there is a world outside, not sure they want to.

Up awful early for a 10K this A.M. Not on purpose, still just can't sleep. Ever since we came back from yurp, my insomnia issues have only gotten worse.

Heading up into the hills with the women folk for a hike after breakfast.

Have you considered just saying, "No"?
I like what the wife is trying to do by exposing them to the big city. But we live in the burbs. Not really that close to Portland proper (30 minutes). And our burb is still damn small, but it is bigger than Hicksville for sure. She doesn't want them to die there like the rest of her family having only been outside the county on vacation to a neighboring state.

Good Morning!

It's another summer day here in NC....which means if I still had hair, it would be unmanageable.

Had a fun weekend - my folks kept our son for a few days down at the coast last week, and I drove down early Saturday to hang out for a day or so and pick him up. We caught a ton of fish, got sunburned and I drank too much. Can't wait to do it again.

Good morning monkeys! I have a very satisfied feeling of tired today, my afternoon ride - if I ride at all, will be as leisurely as Don Knotts in a powder blue jumpsuit.

Have fun getting that out of your head. :)

Sounds like a righteous solo trip.
Glad we could ride!

Did you just drive around and car camp?
Yup. I have a hammock I can set up but usually sleep in the bed of my truck. I have a tall ARE canopy that covers my bed. It works great and is incognito. Plus I can break it down for sleep and get back on the road quick. I stop for trails, food, gas, sleep, and sight seeing. Started in Eastern Wyoming and worked my generally west, leap frogging the spots I wanted to hit.
