A friend lost a bolt in the upper control arm of his Demo 8 and, frustratingly, none of the local Specialized dealers stock this bolt AND none of the, "bolt kits" include these bolts. I don't understand this and trying to do a Whistler trip this weekend. Anyone out there have one of these...
Have you checked out the Cadillac CTS-V wagon? Aside from no AWD, it does have the 6 speed manual. Once you drive one, you'll stop thinking about fuel economy concerns.
IIRC, SAO was the first 6'er of beer I bought after turning 21...
Had many liters of this straight out of the barrel in Munchen last year at the HB tent. Ein Prosit!!!
Tough to go wrong with any of the Corralejos. For cheap sippers (and guests that don't know the difference) the Tres Generaciones line up is 'good enough' as well as the less expensive stuff by Milagro.
Tonala makes a good 4+ year Anejo (the one in the glass bottle, not the ceramic jug)...
Just reading the last page and somewhere in the middle when I was busy with life, but I remember the one and only time I was out to those 'sweet jumps' last year. There were builders digging and building, etc. Not sure who was who but one from our pack hit up one of their new stunts just for...
I've used your method on enough cars and boat trailers to know it's a hack way to do things. Given the lack of robustness I've seen in bike components, I wouldn't walk a bearing out/in of those cups and expect the new one to be truly straight in there.
I think I was just frustrated that the...
Finally discovered my BB bearings (M960) a little crunchy after 4 years and as I started looking around at options, the Phil Wood bearings sounded like the best ones and at a reasonable price of ~$23. The issue comes in that it appears that the job is most easily and safely done using a...
niners don't work so well here. everytime i've ridden with someone riding one of those, they've taco'd a wheel.
good for the commute, not so good on our roots and gnar.
I'm sure the Westin is on par with the 4 Seasons and besides the Montebello complex with it's own private garages, the 4 Seasons was the best set up I've ever had up there. 24 hour bike storage is included and when I was there, there was maybe one or two other bikes in the room and they...
I just bought a Toshiba laptop from costco.com.
Price was better than the "Employee Purchase Program" I had access to. With the 2% costco rebate and the 5 free HD DVD's, it works out to be a pretty good deal. Not to mention the 90 day, no questions asked return policy. They sell Dell too...
Ditto. I prefer the all stainless version with the serrated pocket-knife-style lead cutter.
I have a better gift for the alky biker:

When I had it, I went to the PT and he showed me some calf stretching that somehow helped and also did ultrasound therapy on it. That always felt a lot better after each treatment. I also started using some strange orthotic that ended up being too aggressive but now bike with Superfeet and...
I've used Whole Foods Andoullie but have noticed that Whole Foods sausage is quite different around the country. Seattle area stores seem to be my favorite so far. I want to try this with a lamb sausage and maybe see how it works with a Nebbiolo. I'll let you know if/when I get around to it...
Starting a minor remodel of the kitchen and going to a 30" fridge. Looks like the choices are slim for the US: Northstar, Liebherr, and SubZ. Probably would have no problem buying the SubZ BUT: There is a "new model" coming next spring (a bit longer than I want to wait) that replaces the one...
