I concur. I have also run shimano 12spd derailleurs with shimano 11speed shifters /11spd cassette just fine.
Was the ideal set-up for wide range cassettes before shimano released their own 11speed variant with support for more than 42t.
Hey all! Thanks for all the recommendations.
I appreciate you all.
I guess I should revise it and say I was looking at staying in the more northern portion of the country.
I feel driving down to the SE or Arizona might be a bit too much out of the way.
pennsyvania? Michigan? States on...
it definitely could be! Tell me more.
I definitely want to try a legit Philly cheesesteak and get some tasty cakes.
I have zero routes set and happy to even drive out of the way.
Hey all, seems like I may be driving a friend’s car from NYC back to Seattle, Washington and wanted to get some recommendations on spots I should check out along the way.
Trip seems like it’ll occur between late May and June. No set time.
Route can be squiggly and not straight forward. Taking...
That’s interesting to hear.
I have had work done at their Whistler branch a few times over the past two or three years and had nothing but absolutely exceptional service from them. Not only that, they were very real with me and other customers which I appreciated a lot.
I did not have anything...
I have the same fork on my blk mrkt edit1.
I’ve used it heavily for dirt jumps, gooning around and the very occasional trail.
it’s a fine fork. It’s light enough for me, it locks out hard as a teenager on prom night and it’s easy to maintain. If I were to do the build tomorrow, I’d probably go...
Former generation 36 uppers fits inside new generation lowers just fine. However newer uppers have longer stanchions and you won’t get full travel or stanchion showing even with the newer, longer air spring.
I know this because I tried and have finally settled on a new csu, lowers and air...
This a great question.
I have the exact same fork am actually in desperate need of new lowers for mine after all these years. Would love to mullet my dh bike. Have actually been running a 27.5 wheel in my 26” lowers for many years.
did you just swap to 29” lowers and nothing else?
I really...
Dh casing front and rear on a good rims. You’ll have no issues. If you’re really scared, run a tire insert in the rear so you can do sick schralpies still without worrying about deforming or blowing off your rear tire.
keep your sealant topped off every twomonths and don’t be stingy with it.
Sorry to bump an old thread, but interesting in building up a new rear wheel for my DH bike.
Thinking about going with a Hope Pro 4 DH hub as I run my DH bike singlespeed and that seems to give maximum flange width and therefore stiffness. I tend to ride heavy on my rear wheels, so this would...
Late season can pretty damn good in the bike park. Depending on what you’re after at least.
I’ve often spent loads of time in September there as well as trying to hang out the last week plus of the bike park opening in October.
Weather can be hit or miss with increased chances of snow that can...
First off, I am so sorry for your loss. I hope your bud’s family and his friends (including yourself) will someday find peace and resolution despite the difficulty of the situation.
100% totally understand that. I did enjoy parking over there because it was free in the peak summer season and the gondola is pretty relaxed as is there no line to get up usually. Not to mention that I often stay at the Hostel down in Olympic Village during crap weather periods and it’s closer...
Who cares about creekside? We didn’t have it til recently anyway and honestly while it’s fun, it’s not why I go to whistler. There are very few rock slabs and no good jump trails there. I guess if I wanted to zone out on mile high berms than it’s chill? But again, not why I go to whistler.
snow...
