Yes, the headset the uprising comes with is designed for a tapered steer tube. I had to get a 1.5" to 1 1/8" crown adapter from cane creek to put my straight steer on mine.
When I upgraded to the Ti spring on my Revolt, I went from a 300# spring to a 350#. I didn't change a setting on the RC4 when I installed it and everything feels great. Just rode the **** of of Silverstar for 3 days this weekend and couldn't be happier. At this point I see no need to go heavier.
Yes.
Built in the hotelroom at 2am and that was the first light of day shot. :) I basically just moved everything from my Revolt over, needless to say it isn't setup like that now. But I do run a little lower setup as I'm 6'3 with a 78" wingspan and the frame is an x-large.

Broke C1 while wearing a Leatt, compression fracture after my helmet and the leatt failed. I also fractured T2 & T6 in the crash as well.
My neurosurgeon said the Leatt brace saved my life.
I will never ride without one and I recommend everyone wear one.
Here is the LINK to my story...
Haha, I had a Hanny LT10 on my first DH bike. Had to carry a can of triflow in my pack and spray the seals/stanchions at the bottom of every whistler run. Good times!
Well I'll add my story here about the importance of a Leatt or similar device.
On August 20th we were at Mt Spokane practicing for a race the following day. The track is not one that is necessarily difficult or technical, just a super fun, fast, flowy trail race...one that I have riding a...
Just recently put a Joplin 4R on my AM rig. On rides where I would stop a handful of times to adjust I no longer need to. I also find myself adjusting on the fly more often which has made the short steep stuff way more enjoyable.
