BMX putting limitations on what you can ride? I hope you are kidding me.
It's a completely (well, not completely anymore) style of riding, and things that can be done are much different. The bike is also a bit easier to move being smaller and all.
20 would allow more options in the future for upgrading. For $300 you aren't going to get too much in the way of a good complete, probably a good entry level.
But if you're really used to 26, then 24 would probably be an easier transition.
It was pretty fun up until my flat tire to be honest. I'm used to flying through fairly smooth trails that are otherwise full of roots, but not rocks like today. The techy uphill climbs made me realize how out of shape I am though
On Friday I found out a guy I work with rides, so we set up plans to ride today.
We end up going to a state park that he's familiar with, although I am not, and go through a trail that even he's never been before. A bit of exploring for a nice day like today.
We ride for a while, find...
In the past month I've gained like 8 pounds, while over the previous months of fall/winter I gained maybe 10 total (the usual winter weight gain). I've been eating a TON of chicken, especially this past week. And drinking lots of soda, and sugar = bad.
So anyways, what kind of foods should...
Keywords: Good condition, few scuffs.
Mechanically, it's in good condition. Visually, not at all. And that is more than a few scuffs.
Case and point is, it looks like absolute **** when in the ad it does not look like ****.
I didn't think so, but I figured I'd ask anyways. He apparantly told my girlfriend (I haven't met him personally) that it was needed to prevent them from snapping.
So I thought to myself: huuuuuuge DH drops..yeah it could snap. Local XC trails...I doubt it.
Now I need to find some paint...
My girlfriend's cousin does DH riding; he bought a set of bars off eBay, but they were cut down when he received them so he gave them to me, knowing that I did XC riding.
The width of them is fine for me (within a 1/2" of my current flat bars), but they have a bolt-on crossbar. The rise is...
But the thing is, I use almost 100% of the travel whether it's a short drop or really big; I just sense that on smaller drops it shouldn't compress as much. Smaller drops being like less than 12" on a trail. Is that normal?
How much would stiffer springs cost me? And is it a fairly easy install, or something I should just have the LBS do?
EDIT: Actually, I should reword something from my first post. I'm not bottoming out now, but I don't want to be doing it anytime soon. If I do a fast/big drop, they compress...
I've had my Judy SL's for about a year or so and love them, but I want them stiffer.
I know there's a special oil you're supposed to use but am now sure how to apply it, or if it's even the oil that adjusts stiffness. Last time I checked the manuals that came with them (which I cannot find...
I got a speeding ticket for passing in a no pass zone and speeding (obviously), doing 60 in a 30. The ONE time I made a pass without checking my mirrors and a cop was behind me. And leave it to me, the cop that pulled me over was the biggest hardass in my town; the next day at school when I...
Probably by the band Jimmy Eat World; the song is called "Get it Faster"
I don't care what you do.
I'm getting out , no nothing ever shames me.
Don't wanna thing from you
I'm going out, I don't care if you're angry.
I'm getting out, no nothing ever shames me.
I'm going out, I don't care...
I just measured my seat/stem to see where they were, and the stem was only about 3/4" lower than the seat at the new height. The seat is significantly higher than is used to be, so I guess I'm used to the bars higher and didn't even realize it. I'm gonna check out some higher bars tomorrow.
Anyone heard the song "On The Move"?
It's an audio track of their DVD, not on CDs as far as I know, and is sick! They also did a mellow-ass song called "Goodbye" which is good.
