    8" rotors.

Like Quo Fan said, first upgrade to hydraulic brakes. If you do long technical downhills and you're heavy, then 8" rotor in the back might make sense. If power is not so much the problem, but the fading, then I'm pretty sure you're not braking right and you're dragging the brakes. Brake when you...

    First rides of the year

With winter's freezing temperatures doing their best to turn the trails into ice I ventured with my trusty Nomadc and it sucked. Luckily just before I started my new job a warm weather front came and melted almost all the snow and the most fun part of the trail appeared in all its muddy glory...

I hate snow and made a video

So there was snow and lots of ice under it on the trails...that sucked. Then 3 days of warm weather came and it was on!:weee:

    MTB is getting cooler

Where I did my engineering internship one of the senior software eng. had a full collection of porn on hiy network drive and indeed boobs were always celebrated. Don't think that would be possible in a bank though.

888 direct mount stem for Easton 35mm Bars?

The Easton Havoc35 direct mount stem is only available for the Boxxer and 40, but I'm getting a 888 and if possible would like to use the 35mm Easton bars. So is there some dude with a CNC machine in some dark corner of the world making these stems in his garage?

    My move to Germany

going to DLR? Stuttgart is in a cool part of Germany, generally the south is pretty cool and the riding is cool. The city itself is a bit boring, but the quality of life is good. You're also not too far away from the alps for some epic riding :thumb:

    My move to Germany

German trains are always late :D ...they are decent, but compared to Switzerland they are late a lot. Where are you going? There is a huge difference between the Bundesländer. I spend a couple weeks a year visiting friends in Germany but live in Zürich. Edit: Let me guess, EADS Friedrichshafen?

How bad an idea is this?

Over here in Switzerland every downhiller's dream is a VW T4 or T5. I've always dreamt of having an STI but since I would mostly use it to go riding with a buddy, it doesn't seem like a good idea anymore, even though I'll take my dh bike to the dealer at put it in one to see for sure. If that...

Something utterly amazing just happened. I pedaled my bike.

Awesome! Take it easy, don't do anything stupid and do 10 times as much physio as they tell you to do. In my experience (1 knee, 3 elbow, 1 shoulder surgeries ), not taking pain meds, help you push it sooner. You'll really know when you go to far. When you take pain meds it is easy to over...

How bad an idea is this?

A friend of mine has a 3 series wagon diesel. We were able to throw 2 enduro bikes, bike repair stand, tools and tons of gear in there with room to spare. Boot is big enough imo. Have absolutely NO experience with strollers. The 5 series is bigger though. Haven't driven the 5 series, but from...

    First job :-)

Generally in Switzerland qualified work force from the US is very welcomed. In Zürich at least you don't really have to speak german to get a job, english is sufficient. If you're serious about searching jobs send me a pm with your info, I might be able to help you.
