I find the same problems with mine- shock is not too bad for XC, but not ideal for aggressive stuff. Are you going to be making new hardware for the new shock?
Pretty keen for the downtube guard actually.
I have owned '09 and '10 Session 88s and have dented the downtubes on both. The guard is removable anyway: it bolts onto the 88, and the 8 has a clip on guard.
Bit of a weird one here,
I'm covering Sea Otter for a local mag here (in Australia). Looking to stay somewhere within a reasonable distance of the event. Any tips?
I'm sure there's a few guys on here who've had experience with this...
How tall are you? I'm just curious.
You run the same saddle height as me, shorter stem, but the same size bike.
FWIW, I run the same saddle height on my roadie's as I do my trail bike. Even my DH bike is only 5cm lower. I don't think there's any benefit running a lower saddle height on a...
What do we think of the Trek Remedy and Fisher Roscoe? Would love a Remedy 7 or 8 with a chainguide and 34T ring for everything from 24 hour races to flatter DH racing.
Repeatedly breaking them in the same spot. Initially I thought that it was my weight (95 kg) or my riding style, but it's actually a widespread issue. There are a few other riders in our club with the same problems (in the same place). Given the policy on replacement I think the issue is pretty...
Guys,
I'm building up a new bike for our Summer after having a fair bit of bad luck with Pinarello Princes.
I have ordered a Cannondale Caad 9 which should be here shortly (probably the week after next). I plan on transferring the build kit over from my Prince (so a full 11 speed record...
Haven't had any dramas with mine, although I have not used it as frequently as my earlier DH bikes. I'm a big rider (95kg) but I don't have a history damaging frames. Looking forward to the 2010 model purely for a different colour scheme.
Looking for a new trail and AM bike for to go with my Session. I will be mainly riding downhill style trails, occassional 24 hour and 8 hour enduros, and 20-30 minute short track and super D events. I'm not going to be winning Elite in XC racing, so I don't mind a slightly slower bike, but I...
Been running 5.1s since 2007 for DH and have not had an issue with them ever. Now is not the time to bring this up, but from my experience they're pretty well sorted. I still have the OEM wheelset for general fartarseing about with.
Nothing is titanium, and I still have heavy cranks...
I have black ones, and would kill for white ones, but they're out of stock in Australia. Can't get Vans either here, it sucks living in a backwards third world country.
How are the Manitou branded ti springs classed. I have used these as well as RCS brand springs in the past, and the Manitou ones are significantly lighter than the RCS ones. But whenever the Manitou ones have come up on here, they have been called RCS springs.
