    Rampage 2022

I was less impressed with the trick itself and more impressed with the chute he had to ride once he landed it.

    Rampage 2022

I dunno, Semenuk's drop in was pretty gnar.

    Rampage 2022

So I probably root for Tmac more than anyone else at rampage, but it seems like every year he's surprised he's not going to get a second run due to wind. All these guys gotta know by now that it's really a 1 run format unless they stretch the event out to two days.

Sam Hill back to WC DH?

I'm rolling in here just to refute that. I did a clunker race with him in Mammoth a few years back. Dude was stoked, and said it was one of the most fun races he had ever done. Seemed to be a happier person the rest of the weekend after that.

Videos from trails Santa Cruz California (ongoing thread)

So jelly you got the good conditions. We rode something steep in the rain and now I have a bruise on my ass.

Bike Dads ASSemble! (picking a 20" ride for my 4.5 year old)

If he wasn't so into riding, I definitely would have gone a cheaper route. Buuuut unfortunately for my bank account he's all in. This was a few weeks ago on his 16" https://i.imgur.com/ddjErlu.mp4

Shimano compatible cranks and 2022 supply chain help needed

Heh, it is sweet. Unfortunately I'm not going to have much time standing around in lift lines for people to be impressed with my sweet bike this season, so I had to go with low key cabron instead

Bike Dads ASSemble! (picking a 20" ride for my 4.5 year old)

Kiddo's Prevelo showed up yesterday. We chose no dropper since at the time of ordering he was just barely able to put a leg over one, but now a month later, he could totally use a dropper with 3" of stroke. Might have to go hunt for one. My wife had him put it together(she did a bolt check...

Shimano compatible cranks and 2022 supply chain help needed

At the time they didn't have purple, or that would have been sweet. The price to weight however, isn't that impressive. I was able to get the praxis cranks with BB and tool to install it for less than just the 5dev cranks alone.. and the weight is about the same.

Shimano compatible cranks and 2022 supply chain help needed

They're local-ish to our area and a few engineer friends from specialized and fox around here are also friends with some of the engineers there. They seem to agree they're decent. Spesh is spec-ing a lot of their ebikes with praxis cranks. To be honest, they don't have a very high bar to clear...

Shimano compatible cranks and 2022 supply chain help needed

Update on this one. Wife gave me the go-ahead to not cheap out on cranks. Bought some praxis girder HD cranks and their chainring(despite some people saying the shimano praxis chainrings suck). Slightly lighter than my xt cranks and seems to be working well so far. This was definitely not the...

    Half-lid

Bell Sixer here. It's about time for a new helmet and I might just buy another one. It checks all the boxes for fit and whatnot, plus it has a removable gopro mount so I can quickly snap a light on there for night rides. Looked around and didn't see any other helmet that does that.

Ooh, good find. If the dude with the saint crank arms falls through, I might give that a try.

Shimano compatible cranks and 2022 supply chain help needed

Found a dude on pinkbike selling nds 165mm saint crank arms for $50. If he doesn't come through, I think my backup is going to be going with new praxis cranks and bb: https://praxiscycles.com/product/cadet-m30/

Shimano compatible cranks and 2022 supply chain help needed

It would be rad if whatever cranks worked with a 24mm bb spindle so I didn't have to buy a new BB as well. I think whatever cranks I use will have to work with shimano 12sp chain rings? Haven't really messed with this stuff in a while. My last few bikes I've just been buying complete and running...

Shimano compatible cranks and 2022 supply chain help needed

Didn't know they were making cranks. A little heavier than my XTs, but I might go that route. 12 speed shimano. nds arm is done, everything else looks ok all things considered. Searched around for both slx and xtr 165mm nds crank arms, but haven't found any. If anyone knows where to find...

Shimano compatible cranks and 2022 supply chain help needed

Last august I got me a sweet XT build Transition Spire. Flogged it on some local trails, took it to some bike parks, pretty much had a good time on it. Then one day I'm pedaling out of one of my favorite local trails that actually has rocks when all of a sudden my non-drive XT crank arm left the...

Bike Dads ASSemble! (picking a 20" ride for my 4.5 year old)

Well yeah. I'm a bike nerd- it's what we do, remember? And to be fair to him, he's pulling up off of every rock, every broken piece of sidewalk, and every curb he can find right now. So if he's stoked, I'm stoked. Shoot, he tried to thrown a whip on his stacyc last weekend, and with the 6...

Bike Dads ASSemble! (picking a 20" ride for my 4.5 year old)

The RST spex on his little buddy's 20" seemed to work decently well. Gotta make sure you got the right air pressure and all that, but I don't see why it would be a hinderance
