Thanks for all the input on the question.I'm thinking about an 8" rotor on the back as I've bought a matching pair off Ebay.Front will fit no problem (Lefty fork) and the rotor itself will clear the swingarm but was wondering about the calliper mount.I'm tempted but dont want to damage the...
I've tried the actual rotor on the hub and it clears the swingarm ok but I emailed Cannondale Europe to ask advice and they said it wont fit.Is this because of the extra stress on the caliper mounting on the swing arm and not because of clearance isues with the rotor (as I know it fits) ...
Is the lever soft or does it just have a lot of travel till the brake bites? If it's the latter you need to reset the pads by removing the wheel and pulling the lever to the bar a couple of times. The biting point should be reached with much less lever travel. It doesnt matter if the master...
I've installed a BETD long travel link on my Y2K FSR Rockhopper and I need a stiffer spring to use the 5" travel setting.
What I need to know is:When measuring the stroke of the shock is it measured from the body to the spring collar or from the body to the bottom out bumper?
The shock is a...

I think you'll find that there were two Lobo's.
The origional was produced for one year only (1998) and was an STS (carbon) frame with aluminium lugs at the pivot points/BB shell etc.Running a Rock Shox Coupe Delux pull shock, six inch travel.
After these were pulled from production the second...
You could put an e type front mech on the Lobo and run triple rings but I wouldn't bother. The frame weighs too much and the seat tube angle wouldn't be right if you put the saddle up far enough to actually ride it anywhere without buggering your knees up.
BTW My Lobo is still going strong on...
First off please excuse any miss spellings,I've just got in from a good night out and can't sleep:D
Some sort of enduro type racing would be a good idea.As The Inbred says even multiple laps would take out the "cross country" aspect of it.Having just had the Commonwealth games here in...
I think that they are just pinned not welded cos they aren't that pricey.Indeed they are the disc only version of the 519.May get one myself to replace my Ritchey rim on the rear.
I think you should be ok with the C2 caliper. As far as I know it's only the 4 piston brakes that have isues with certain hubs.
If you don't wanna shell out for Bulbs just get the regular Hope hubs.Unless you need a 20mm hub?
Vanilla ice cream from The Harbour Bar here in Scarborough.Quite simply the best ice cream you will ever taste.Alsp when I was at uni I spent a summer making the stuff, free ice cream!!!:)
Thanks guys.
Thicker tubes, slime, higher psi I know about. What I was wondering was, regardless about the tubes etc, what difference does the rim/tire width make?
The Maxxis tires on the Ritchey rims do look a little odd.Maybe an excuse for a new rear rim :)
I've recently swaped tires from a 1.95" Specialized to a 2.35" Maxxis with the hope of preventing pinch flats. The rims are Ritchey Rock's which are 22mm wide.
Would the tire swap really help that much? Doesn't running a wide tire on a narrow rim simply make matters worse because there is more...
If the standard size is 170mm and providing you can find a 190mm disc you could use a +20 adapter from Hope. This is IS-IS mounting and just spaces the caliper an extra 20mm from the dropout to enable you to run the bigger disc.
Or you could just buy some Hopes and have done with it ;)
Gonna have to do a bit of trail maintainance by the sounds of it.
Cool,whats the Pashley like?
I've still got the Zaskar (it's ink blue BTW) but it's in bits cos I got a Specialized Rockhopper FSR a few months back and I wanted to put the Judy's off the GT on it cos the Manitou's...
