Any body want to trade me brakes? Saint for Guide RSC or better trim

I have some Guide RSC in chrome/silver trim. They were great but I guess I'm just in the opposite end of the spectrum as far as brake preferences go lol. Depending on your year model of the Saint brakes I'd be willing to work out a deal in your favor - I've had these puppies sitting around for...

    Is racing committing suicide?

Given all the people running this race, they will be lucky to walk away with $100 each on average probably. If that makes you feel any better haha. I drove a truck for a ride day years ago at Reading - after all was said and done we didn't really make anything, and that was a...

    Diablo 05/08/2010

Lol the wind did kind of alter your course path... I could see disputing that... but that's sort of luck of the draw that it brought you down.

    Sunline wheelset

Kinda quoting an old post - but thought I'd mention something... The idea of a chain guide having a rotating lower tensioner definitely isn't a new one - but the way the V1 Travel Guide executes this is. It uses two bushings concealed nicely behind the back plate to allow the lower arm to...

    Budget Riding Shoes

I got my 5.10's from Go-Ride for $90... they have almost all sizes available too. You can't beat 5.10's unless your riding clips. I even have a pair of their trail shoes - the Savant's. Awesome sticky goo they put on their shoes, keeps you coming back for more!

    the best dh pedal ever?

Got a set of these a little bit ago: Xpedo Curves - Xpedo is to Wellgo as Lexus is to Toyota. -400 grams (measured) @ $70 typical cost = not to shabby, and with a decent platform, around 3.9" X 3.75" or so, and 17.4mm thick (w/o pins, like everyone else measures them lol). Haven't tried...

I wonder if this guy is worried about his head angle.

Damn I remember him riding by in the parking lot talking about his rig after Diablo banned him on it from riding anymore. Pretty sick lol that jump would make most people question it on a normal bike.

    Greaseported Boxxer

Yep the washer is needed so the fitting doesn't screw in too far and unseat the dust seal, if they were mounted any higher it would be directly inline with the dust seal's outer mating surface - where they are mounted is the .05" gap between seals, so you have about a +- .025" tolerance in where...

    Greaseported Boxxer

Nah - he's talking about exterior material. I could have filed that down but it removes the zinc coating (on mine, maybe his are SS, I couldn't find any in that material tho) revealing the steel underneath which would inevitably lead to rust - something I hate on bikes lol. It would have cut...

    Greaseported Boxxer

So I decided to try this myself - Pretty cool. Mine stick out a bit further (.15" total), but I am using the exact same zerks as UDI used. With the way these fittings are made, I cannot remove extra material from the threaded side to reduce overall thread length because the tip of the...

    Realistic loadings for design

I hope they splurge for at least the whole CosmosWorks Package... but when you hafta pay for it (and not just use it on one of the university's comp's) it get's expensive I'd imagine. And for some bottom out's I'd say using how much you can squat wouldn't be adequate, like the ones where...

    Carbon coil springs

For increasing CF's torsion properties, it could be applied on the "skin" of a composite spring (or rod of composite before winding) beforehand, then 'claved to attain proper strength. However in order to effectively be applied to the outside of a composite rod it would have to be then coiled up...

    Damn fixie hipsters

Yes. Just got back from a weekend in Brooklyn... so many wanna-be hipsters up there lol. Very fixie looking bike, but obviously has the (beneficial) ability to coast - the hipster mob should hang them for not being "hip" enough to conform... On the flip side I need to get a street/trials bike...
