    Entry level DSLR recommendations

Hi all. I don't post much but I thought I would throw this out there to see if anyone has some suggestions. I'm looking for an entry level DSLR camera for my husband. He's only just ever used point & shoot cameras. He's interested in nature, outdoors type of shooting. Animals, scenery etc...

Churn and Burn: due to technical difficulties....

I posted this on Bikerag, but I'm x-posting! my highlights... at least what I can remember. 1. Our game plan is to start with 2 loops each. Smitty put's in a fast first loop... he comes in either 2nd or 3rd. He's ahead of Splat. So my pressure is on... must stay ahead of IAB. I have to...

    In the Market

I use the Rockgardn Jr. Flak jacket... size L. I'm 5'4"... fits really nicely. I like how the arms are attached. I had a 661 something or other and I had separate elbow/arm pads. Which always kept falling down. I think rockgarn also now has women's body armor. I also wear the harlot...

    All Mtn/FR bike

Yup, ditto that. I ride a 575 (rear = dhx air, front = fox 36) for both XC and FR (x-stuntry). I'm very happy with the setup. I also ride with a bunch of girls who have 6.6 and they love them. oh, and I'm 5'4".

XC bikes for the DH rider

I totally agree with you! For a while there I was into trying to make my yeti as light as possible (crossmax wheels, totally xc tires/tube, light fork). It was just so "flighty". I wasn't doing any freeride playstuff, I was ready to ditch the bike. I've put my "regular" wheels (mavic 321)...

XC bikes for the DH rider

I'm riding a yeti 575 with a fox 36 talas. I.m really happy with the setup... it probably weighs about 29lbs. That fork makes all the difference, I had been riding with a 5" talas. It was light but I was really unhappy. It really is able to handle all that I have thrown at it. Check out...
