Weather is looking like crap for Highland and Diablo this weekend. It's a long drive from Indianapolis to ride in the rain. Or not ride at all...
Could do windrock in tn, oh wait, that's flooded like the rest of tn.
I've got a week off, and need a place to ride within 700 miles of...
Hi guys,
I haven't posted much on ridemonkey, but figured I'd post in this forum since I just moved to Indy.
I've been reading about Windrock in Tennessee, and ft Duffield in KY. Vulture knob in Ohio looks like fun, too.
I've been enjoying the single track in Brown County when I've...
I'm 5'11" with a 32" inseam. If anyone has ridden one that fits well, and is around my height, let me know. I'm guessing a 56cm works.
I grew up with PK Rippers, and it looks like a fun bike.
Thanks guys,
Chip
Been quite a while since I've posted here, haven't had much to post. After a year being hurt and not riding, I'm pretty excited about riding again this year. I've been looking for a light freeride set up and wound up with this. Wasn't really looking for a do-it-all bike, but figure this can do...
Still getting all of the parts lined up for the Transition Double build, and it's time to order the frame. Shock choices are Fox Float R, Vanilla R, RP23, and a Roco R (fork is a Pike).
I'm considering shelling out the extra loot for the RP23, I had a RP3 on a Yeti 4x, and loved it.
Is...
Any opinions? I'm ordering new cranks tomorrow, and was set on Saints, but figured I'd ask around a bit first. Weight is a bit of an issue as I'm trying to get a new build as light as reasonably possible within my budget. I've always run Profiles in the past but I figured I'd give these new...
I came across the arson from Price Point, and the numbers look good (both geo and price). I remember a favorable review in one of the mags a while back, but can't remember ever reading anything about them on the forums...

I just emailed Transition yesterday asking about a fork for the Double. Neil said that it was designed around a current 100mm travel DJ fork. So, I'll be building mine with a Pike :-)
But seriously, looking at the geo of that frame, even 120mm is going to make it ride funky...

It won't work. Although the Identiti fork is about the shortest axle to crown fork out there, it's still too long for a Backtrail x24 (it's what's called suspension corrected). Just use any good BMX cruiser fork like a S&M Pitchfork 24. They are made for the geometry of a BMX cruiser (which the...
