    Scratches/marks on new fork stanchions

Remember, you don't have "seals", you have dust wipers. That's their only job. The fact they end up trapping some pressure so the fork has to be queefed (by way of a bleeder or using a zip tie in the dust wiper) is purely coincidental. The only real risk is if there is protruding material...

    The Upturn Dropper

It's pretty interesting as a proof of concept. Answers the question "can a frame actively adapt to two different static geometries and linkage rotation limits?". Neat application of parametric design. Probably not real practical at the moment but still interesting.

I do that every morning. And not in the way you meant.

    Push's $2,600 fork is absurd

At one point I had a Zeb with a coil and the HC97 unit. I like some pretty stiff suspension but that was an atrocious damper. $2600 + tax for a fork with a major step in manufacturing efficiency over a regular fork that requires tooling costs of $500k+ is a giant sweaty dickslap to the face...

The stuff around Cusco in Peru gets pretty wild. Moreso the further you get from town.

ZEB Gurus, Is The New Seal Head Kit Any Improvement?

The teste gets it. If you have any vehicle with control-arm/coil-over suspension, replace the stock upper arm with one that has a bearing mount to the frame instead of elastomers, and watch your ride quality turn to unbearable shit. Most of the comfort in a passenger vehicle comes from...

Why Aren't There Better Shock Pumps?

Pressure is pressure and volume is volume. If one isn't changing, neither is the other. No need to remove the pump during any of that, even up to the precise setting. Equalization, if you have a careful hand, is static in volume.

Why Aren't There Better Shock Pumps?

You know you can cycle the fork or shock to equalize just fine with the compressor or pump attached, right? As for owning an air compressor if you own a modern mtb....yeah. Unless you really enjoy being covered in bike industry lizard jizz while you do the crossfit dance of a floor pump for...

Why Aren't There Better Shock Pumps?

If your suspension requires less than 120psi, just use an air compressor with a clamping chuck from Amazon. Alternatively, just blast the Schrader valve with a rubber pointed air gun tip and it'll fill up all the same at your regulated pressure. Looks funny, but it works totally fine...

Frankly I wish they had done something more with serious bottom-out bumpers (which the DB has been lacking since they started) rather than add more complexity and change architecture completely. This layout screams "unmitigated force accrual leading to serious bucking" especially since there's...

New riders. Who’s nearly died at the hands of the said mobile landmines. Share your fables

I've stopped yielding for stopped riders in the trail and bikes especially at Snow Summit. I have no idea what my collision count is up to now. Being raised playing ice hockey helps in those situations. Have had no issues.

    Frameworks DH frames are happening

I was astonished that I couldn't find any real DH bikes to rent at Sun Peaks this summer. Only some Enduro bike with a low end Boxxer on it. I went out and bought a V10 the week after that just to take with to BC over the next couple years and not deal with the rental garbage at Whistler...

Rulezman MX RRT Banshee Legend KIT?

Wtf is the point of stripping and coating the outer tubes of a fork without a sliding bushing? I hope nobody is paying for that and expecting a performance difference.

Marzocchi, Manitou, DVO, Progressive, probably others I'm forgetting. My suspicion is that Fox/RS moved away from easy reservoir pressure adjustability there because it was easy for end users to fuck up the baseline pressures in the shock and lead to a state that was prone to cavitation and...

Correct. "Slightly" being the key word there. About the same reasonable range of effective spring force adjustment as any other piggyback shock on the market in the last 15 years or so. The new CC already has an IFP that provides a gas spring also, so it has 3 springs working in parallel (1...

No. The RC4 had another valve in series with the base valve whose stiffness (well, preload and cracking pressure) was a function of the ambient oil pressure, and consequently the IFP pressure, and consequently the position of the shaft. Then for a couple years they removed that valve and it...

    Frameworks DH frames are happening

As I said before, what do you think goes into QC of those fabs? I'll spoil it for you - it's an effort (domestic and foreign) that is far above and beyond the budget and technical capacity of bike frame manufacturing. Not comparable in any sense.
