Ahhhh, yes. I was thinking something with 5 1/2 or 6 inch travel that is rugged. Too much squish is no good, I don't think I would like a hardtail even if it is efficient.

not as good as the balfa. The Titus was twitchy (probably because of the short bars. They make bars up to 30 inch wide. Do you think I should buy the 30" and cut them if too wide?

I checked out Snows trail map. There seems like a decent trail network in terms of number of trails and mileage. How come there isn't much written up about it? Is it any good for an intermediate rider?

thanks guys. i will move my levers. i use 2 fingers because i believe it is a comfort thing.I also feel I get better modulation of the brakes with 2 fingers.
I have been riding for awhile but a riding buddy of mine is very critical of my braking technique. :rant: He says I should use only 1 finger. I use 2. He really bugs me about it as if it is a very bad habit. Is it? Am I really doing this wrong? :confused:

I suspect there is contamination. i just installed a new fork and the rotor could have gotten contaminated from handling the front wheel. Also, I notice that the glazing occurs on inside and outside tracks of the pad only, like the middle is not making contact. i will make sure i clean...

The problems are consistent with other users, (no stopping power, squealing, etc) I removed the pads (only used 3 times) and they are glazed. I will sand them down on a flat surface to remove the glazing. The pad backing is copper color. I am not sure if it is metallic or sintered metal...
