i think BTI distributor has them in stock right now, so any shop should be able to grab one if you ask. qbp distributes pro-tec stuff too, but i don't know about availability from them.
to seb: i hear ya for sure. i just find that bikes (and everything that goes with them) are so subjective. tests almost seem worthless, especially when fit, sizing and riding styles are involved. it's weird that something as functional as a mountain bike can almost be taken as art...everyone has...
i figured all the references to "test" in quotes made it pretty clear that it wasn't a real test. as stated in the text under the feature link, i had an idea for some photos and needed product to make it happen. i asked pro-tec to help, they helped out and it was fun.

looking at the new dirt (not to mention bike) shows that you don't necessarily need crazy up-to-the-minute gear to make rad photos.
sure, all the newest tech-nerd gear is fun to have and use, but there's plenty of proof out there that shows expensive gear doesn't mean...
