Hey, I saw that you were taking pictures on saturday during the GS race at Diablo. Did you by any chance get a shot of plate numbers 554, 555, and 558?
Honestly, you should give it a shot yourself.
I built two wheels using this site: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/wheelbuild.html
I built both for my freeride bike like 3 years ago, then recently moved them over to my hardtail and they're still running well. It may be intimidating at first...
Specialized XL bikes are pretty big. I'm 6'3" and when I stand the my Enduro on the rear wheel it's just as tall as me.
I think you'll want something with a Wheelbase between 1100 and 1200. It's a nice wheelbase for gaining stable speeds on fireroads and singletracks.
I thought we weren't allowed to talk about Diablo anymore on ridemonkey... lol...
Anyways, I still think there are plenty of lines. As long as Diablo isn't your weekend getaway, you'll agree with me that the $37 bucks and the 1.5 hour drive is worth it. I've, sadly, only been there 3 times this...
I like breastsuses.
I wish I could go there. Anyone going there from the Philly area? Otherwise I'll have to wait allllllllllll the way till Decemberish to go on my own when on vacation. :nopity:
It's less crowded during the week right?
i love specialized tires. I run the rythms on my HT and a chunder and evil twin roller on my FS. Both have lasted a very long time.
Give the Rythms a try.
anthem does not deserve Double black diamond rating. I bet someone can hit the drop from the beginning of the bridge. I lose most of my speed by the time i get to the bridge anyway. lol
I ride season skaggle grips on my FR rig. They're the ribbed-bmx-slide-on kind and are very comfortable but do slip on occasion.
Ruffians were great too
like strictly slopestyle throughout the entire course? or having slopestyle features?
I think they had a wall ride in one of the WC courses this year. I think it would be cool to have more slopestyle features (walls, drops, bridges), not sure about an entire course tho.
haha i know what you mean about the weight. I couldn't afford an SXT at the time so i bought an Enduro Expert. I upgraded the parts as i busted them and now its in the high 30s, maybe even 40 or so.
I just love the way it handles. I have the XL and the super long wheel base is sweet for fast...
you guys think that if there was some sort of armor with flexible collarbone reinforcement, that people would buy it?
Like say there was some sort of jointed plastic pipe that can flex with the rider but provide additional support for shoulder impacts so that the chances of breaking a...
