Our beer sponsor, Big Sky Brewing Co. makes a number of different adult beverages. So far, reports back are that the Moose Drool Brown Ale and Big Sky Crystal Ale are really good schtuff. Try it out - you can get 'em at BevMo.

Here's the rule from the Carnegie site:
VEHICLE OPERATION
Motorcycles and all terrain vehicles (ATVs), as legally defined in the California Vehicle Code, are allowed to operate throughout the park on trails and fire roads. All other vehicles (including 4x4s, Odysseys, Pilots and special...
One of the biggest costs of the race is insurance. And the insurance is for the registered racers only. So once the race is over, technically there is no more insurance coverage for riders on the course. So that is why no more shuttles are provided for people to ride afterwards. Yes...
All this lack of podium talk is cracking me up - hell, in the five years we did it, we never had a real podium. We even goofed up on getting all the photos of the medal winners last year on the web:

And that was our 5th time mind you. We...
Keep in mind guys when we first did this event, there were only about 120 racers. Working the race was mandatory for our team for all the races, so we had 30+ volunteers. I know I was an a-hole that first year dealing with all the stress involved in putting on an event. So cut them some slack...
Okay, after a little prodding (not much really), I've put together a communal blog for Northern California Bicycle Racing. Basically, what we're hoping to accomplish with the site is to provide a place to capture the incredible bike racing scene here that is neglected by the media. Yes...
Hey Mike "e-biker" Gin from Team Wrong Way here - just thought I'd comment on this. You guys are doing a GREAT job so far - wish I could get out there to see it. I'm sure there will be some great photos and video though.
Race promotion is not easy. There is a reason why there are so few...
I should mention if you want to do this but don't have a complete team let me know as we may have some other people looking for a team.
The cool thing with the 8-hour is it gives you a taste of the longer endurance races but isn't nearly the commitment a 24 hour race is. Beginners are...
Anyone here going to the 8-Hour race at Bogg's on 5/15? Should be a blast! Team Wrong Way will be out in force so come on out and challenge us (we've got like 30 people participating on various teams and solo). It's the most fun you'll have racing. The folks at Billy Cross Racing are really...
I haven't started working on the new video - I have reviewed his stuff though - it turns out just about all of his footage was at the G-out. So I need to sort through my leftover video from other locations on the course to get some additional footage. I don't just want to do a video of the...
Ouch, I didn't hear about the broken collarbone on Saturday. I did talk to one guy who said he dislocated a finger on Sunday but that he popped it back in. He was still in pain clearly though - hopefully that got taken care of.
Still better than the year we had the broken leg, broken ribs...
A spectator at the race is sending me about 1.5 hours of video on DVD shortly. I'll go through that I see about putting together another video. I had fun doing the first one. I'm sure he must have gotten most of you with that much video.
Mike
Exactly - that stuff was super slippery. I was setting up the course on Saturday at the top when the first rains hit. We could barely walk up the initial chute, and that was without bikes. There was a small river flowing down the chute and a huge puddle at the first jump. It was so...
Luck o' the draw though getting some of the great moments. You need multiple cameras filming continuously through the day to get everything. I had only about an hour of video to sort through. Funny, I thought I stood in there longer when that guy almost ran into me at the first jump at the...
Okay, we've found someone to host my video. He raced at the GGG too! Cool stuff. Big shout out to bushwacker. :thumb:
Please "save as", as his bandwidth is limited. This is a 58mb file.
It's no Fagerlin production, so be easy on me. It is my first one.
Thanks!
Mike...
Hey!
I just finished a video for the GGG, however, the smallest I could make it was 56mb (.wmv format - 114mb for .mpg format). Can anyone host this? We have space on the TWW site, however the bandwidth will kill us (that we don't have much of).
Drop me a line if you can host it for us...
