    SC Superlight Geometry History?

Yeah, but I google it every time I forget the geo specs on my bike... BTW, Santa Cruz Tallboy = drool.

    SC Superlight Geometry History?

For the sake of completeness, updating this thread with the 2007-2011... (Which I currently have). This version shaved something like .5lb off of the previous version and has noticeably thinner tubing (as evidenced by the multiple dents I've put in it). Still rides great.

    flying with bike (search borked)

Bike in the box is about 25lb (santa cruz superlight, size XL). Just squirms in under 50lb with tools. Case is made by Platt. ID 22x34x12" I think. It's technically too big to be regular baggage, but nobody has ever looked at it twice in at least 10 plane rides.

Simple pleasures, right? Speaking of simple pleasures, and getting rid of them when they start to accumulate in your basement, I'm selling my old superlight frame. Forward widely: Ebay Listing

    question about single speed conversion

You might also consider a device such as Truvativ's Hammerschmidt, which is an internally geared crankset, giving you two gears with no chain tensioner. Pricey tho.

    Clipless Pedal Suggestions?

Waterproof is not common. most people will use waterproof "booties" when it's wet and cold. As far as brand, it totally depends on the shape of your foot. If they fit you (and you can afford them) Sidi makes, IMO the most bombproof shoes out there (particularly the older version [until 2007]...

    Clipless Pedal Suggestions?

The general consensus amongst those I ride with up here in the northeast is that Time or Crank Bros are the way to go. Both designs clear mud very well. SPD (shimano) and SPD clones are crap when it's crappy out. If you're in a place where you're apt to bash your pedals on things often, go...

$6000 now vs $7500 in 6mo + more warranty, ease of transaction, no risk. No brainer. Buy new. One never knows where those used three wheels have been or how they've been treated.

Cool shots. Was the 100% crop of the chocolate straight out of the camera? (as in nothing that couldn't be tweaked in the RAW file)

I'm imagining the cartoon where the wyle-e-coyote is very slowly teetering off the edge of a cliff and all he can do is make his eyes bug out of his head until he finally loses it off the edge. my skepticism persists. You should buy one so I can ride it in the snow .

Sure, I totally buy that it's more stable at speed, but I'm thinking about sliding out / tipping over in slow-speed near-zero traction situations (read: the weather in Boston yesterday). The advantage of 4 wheeled thing is that you slide around but don't lose your balance and fall over. When...

I stand corrected about the high-side, but if the suspension can move freely when you're riding, how are you getting that much more slip resistance in nasty slushiness than a regular bike?

    Adjusting Time ATAC pedals

For all you ATAC lovers out there, here's a way to adjust your aged and loosening ATAC retention springs (This applies to the Alium, Z-Control and ROC pedals--the models with the simple wire spring--and possibly also the old carbon ones, though I haven't looked at a pair in a while) The...
