Although this event wasnt originally intended to be plastered all over the intarnetz i'm glad yall are getting pumped. Its a shame that rain postponed the event but night+mud+people trying to go big at wr is not a good combination.
The event is intended for college riders meaning that...
fyi if you decide to get the reese hitch and have access to a socket set you can avoid the high install price. when i put mine on my suv all i had to do was line up holes and screw in a few bolts. simple as that, and worst case if you later decide you cant do it yourself you can probably just...
Trails are open as always. I would meet you out there but i will be out of town. Theres a good chance that you will meet other people out there anyway.
The newest edition to the NWD line of films can be described in one word EPIC!!!
This movie deserves its own thread in pure appreciation. I will do my best not to spoil anything for the majority who has not watched it yet but this has far surpassed my expectations for a NWD film. Tons of...
Because the jumps are big and inbetween trees. As in the trees off to the side and brush coming off would block any ability to pan in, especially deeper into the jump line where there are also other jumps blocking a straight on view.
My other post got lost in the thread but i still need an answer so here is my question again..
What would you suggest if you're taking pictures of something like dirt jumps where the run in is not visible and there is no option to pan. Do you manual focus? Put it on auto focus and a faster...
I've got a focusing question for yall. I'm using a Canon Xti with the kit 18-55 lens i got this summer but i dont have too much experience with it. I usually have it set on aperture priority at about f/5.6 because that allows me to take pictures in darker settings (in the woods) with a decent...
Marzocchi recommends 7.5 wt. I just recently changed the oil in my 888 ata and it feels awesome. Super easy process and way better to do it yourself than to pay the shop nazis.
Yeah so apparently the Shova Lt is being replaced completely by the Zuza in the 2009 line up. Its going to have 170mm travel (6.7 inches of rear travel) instead of 180mm (7.1" from 2008) and ~193mm (7.6" from 2007). It seems that it will be more of a burly do-it-all bike than the mbuzi (more...
Whatever you do, dont get intrinsic. Even manitou knows that system sucks. I had a travis with intrinsic that blew. If you're wanting an all mountain fork then the nixon would be your best bet. The sherman is the beefier counter part but a tad heavier. If i were you getting a new fork i...
Nice use of the location field. I agree windrock is a lot of fun. I'm now in the market for another derailleur after i broke mine when i was there.. and it was a short cage.
Asheville is only an hour up the road from home.. i'm down for a close bike park. Cant wait till more freeride/downhill stuff gets built and i'll be up there.
