Do any DH mountains have plans to open this year?

Angelfire is open for pass holders only. I believe they are going to announce full opening after this weekend. I've been there 2 weeks in a row, might as well make it 3 and go up tomorrow.

How do you deal with too much shit?

I dealt with too much shit by getting divorced and moving into a van. I can fit 5 xl bikes in my "garage"

    Pole Bikes hates Ridemonkey

Yes, they had me on a new frame by the next weekend . I haven't ridden the new one much because I didn't do the riding in miserable winter conditions this year. I did pick up a taival hardtail which has been super fun. I'll be at the Pole tent at sea otter.

    Pole Bikes hates Ridemonkey

My first frame definitely had a bad glue mix. I had glue oozing from the seams and they sent a replacement frame (new front, old style rear). That replacement rear did not last long as it was from the first run of them. Now I have a new style rear end. We'll see how long it lasts, I don't...

New Whip? New toys for the dependable steed?

I picked this frame up because they are cheap and I wanted a winter beater with the same geo I am accustomed to. I robbed all the parts from my evolink 140. So far I am loving it, I don't know how to jump it yet (hardtail hater) but it's damn fast and makes me wonder if I even need suspension...

    Pole Bikes hates Ridemonkey

That Pole is going to have approximately the same geo as the Machine but with a slightly steeper seat tube. The reasons they don't have a geo chart is they can do half sizes, and they are Finnish.

    shimano XT brakes for downhill?

I have to say I'm surprised that people have issues with the Trps. I switched from xt to saints a year ago when the 2 piston m8000 weren't enough any more, then decided to try the Trps after getting sick of the inconsistent saints. IMHO the Trps are superior to the saints, albeit with slightly...

Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Mont-Sainte-Anne Thread

I just got home from a 12 day road trip that included msa. My friend did her WC qualifying attempt there so I was there to keep her bike running and for moral support. That track looks super fun but that entire mountain was very very rough. The women definitely struggle on that course and I'm...

New Whip? New toys for the dependable steed?

I ride Creek way more often than blue despite the fact that blue is an hour closer. Maybe I'll pay a visit to blue soon though

New Whip? New toys for the dependable steed?

The tooling path marks inside the cavities are mesmerizing , I'm kicking myself for not taking a shot of inside the headtube. And the cnc work is totally amazing especially in the lower link Seriously though 2 normal sized bottles, with space, and a frame bag.... With a fucking dh coil shock...

    Tyre repair doohickeys

I just use the rubber vulcanizing glue that is for use with the auto patches. It basically dissolves and re-vulcanized the 2 pieces of rubber together

    Tyre repair doohickeys

I have found that the dynaplugs work better for me than the wormy style plugs. The wormy ones tend to get pulled back out of the tire when cornering or braking. The dynaplugs have a barb that keeps them from pulling out. Sometimes it takes multiple plugs to seal a hole though, they also make...

    e13 9-46 11 speed cassette...

I have been running the e13 cassettes for about a year on a couple bikes. They don't shift quite as well as a shimano cassette, and I have worn out a couple of the small gear halves of the cassette The good news is they are great about warranting them
