Just show, register and ride. Either DNS your race run or just treat it like any other run. For now a race is the only time you get to use the lift so enjoy it.
I hope to make this one.
Any chance of getting all of the races on the first page of this thread or just starting another one? Seems kind of ridiculous to have to wade through 6 pages to get all of the dates and venues.
Damn Chuck, did you talk to Josh? Peter had to bail b/c he found out he's working saturday. I've been keeping an eye on the weather and it's been nice all week leading up to what looks like a perfect weekend up there.
I'll give Ricky Wiles a call and see if he's interested. Or better yet, call...
Thanks Chuck. I'm teetering on buying Clint's Gambler for Adam. His commitment to serious racing hinges on him making the HS baseball team for obvious reasons. We'll go from there.
Where is Wilson's Creek? Besides under a foot of snow?
Maybe you guys could come down here and ride our trails...
Can you PM more details like race commitments, jersey costs, any discounts, geographic limitations etc. Since 4X and slalom are all but dead my 15 yr old has taken to DH pretty well. He's been on 2 wheels since he was 4.
Since our sponsoring shop went out of business we've been just been...
Hey, If I get shot down by the owner all I wasted was gas and time.
From what I remember we got shut down because the grump pot in the golf pro shop got into it with someone over where the shuttle was parked(blocking the golf cart wash rack) at the race. Appearantly it was too much trouble to...
I was thinking we could get away with a leaf blowing to get the trail going again. I'll put on my Jeff Dein signature mullet wig and best flannel shirt before approaching the new owner about riding and eventual racing.
That place was supposed to have an awesome 4X track but I think the guys...
Damn, I'm going to be in Braselton this saturday. It's sorta right down the road from SV. I'm heading up to see what the deal is. Thanks Tubby for scouting out the trail. I think everyone in GA was under the assumption that Sky Valley put up houses on the trail.
Dave, great to hear you're out of the woods, so to speak. Keep us updated on your recovery and comeback tour. Heal up and keep your chin up. We'll see you when you're back on it.
After this weekend the rock garden should be called The Poop Chute.
My race run was my worse run but I still had a blast. It was good to see everyone again and I thought this was one of the best organized races I've ever been to. A big :thumb: to everyone involved.
Brian, I picked up on this thread a little late. Maybe we should trade bikes. The Uzzi VPX is a proven fat/old/slow guy frame but I'm willing to take one for the team so you can unload that 951 on me. Enjoy my Uzzi, it's been to Whistler twice and survived the Exit38 trails in the PNW...
I hope everyone who is not happy with the practice schedule emailed Ryan about it. Bitching on the forums only goes so far, especially if the organizer isn't on them much!
We may or may not make the trip. For me, the riding is more important than the race. But my 14 yr. old has come to the...
