Any chance for a real discussion about Pinkbike?

Have you seen this? http://www.sicklines.com/reviews/specialized-stumpjumper-fsr-expert-evo/ Amazing freakin review! R/C Helicam action footage! Are you kidding me! Jason and his crew take real time and put forth serious effort to provide extensive information. I'm pretty sure they have...

Vilseck / Grafenwoehr MTB'ing with Outdoor Rec. (DoD Cardholders)

I wish I would have had some riding buddies when I was stationed in Hohenfels back in the late 90's. Such an amazing area for riding. Hooah!

True DH Wheelset vs a Lighter AM Type Set

I'm with iRider. Light wheels plus some stiff sidewall 2-plys and and you're golden. Then you have the option to run light tires for trail days if you like. StunZeeD, diggin the avatar.

    Shimano AM41 Shoes

It's not just the arachnids, any pedal with set screws will eat the sole quickly. Mine lasted a season. I wonder if I could have them re-soled with the 5.10 stealth rubber? I really like the shoes but they do need a more durable sole. Why not try out the new Tevas?

Who doesn't like new (really new) stuff?

Gravity has had the same experience with their sponsored riders so I'm told. Sam Hill supposedly only went through two sets over a 3 year time period while Stevie Smith was bending them at an alarming rate. The AL7050 version has been undergoing testing on Phil Sundbaum's bikes and are holding...

Who doesn't like new (really new) stuff?

That's a great question. I'm getting some info from Gravity's engineers for the product feature, I'll be sure to ask them that question. Quite honestly I'm from Irish descent and my ability to do anything is gointo quickly diminish from this point onward. For Christ's sake everyone it's St...

Who doesn't like new (really new) stuff?

Actually I'd say you're doing it right. Buying time tested products that will last is smart and I wish I did more of it. It's funny that you mention the Saint derailleur. Over the winter while doing my usual tear-down/inspection/cleaning I noticed that just about every pivot on my Saint...

Who doesn't like new (really new) stuff?

Will the SLX/XTs fit on my 83mm BB frame? (without buying some odd touring set and whopper jawing the install) Actually forget I said that. No one buy these, buy SLX or XT cranks instead. Proof is in the use, absolutely. I'll do my best to ruin these even if it's not on purpose.

Who doesn't like new (really new) stuff?

Shimanos are amazing. The little stuff they do like the chainring tabs on the Saints being thicker an having that little stepped edge kinda bugs me though. I had a set of Saints and they were the best cranks I've ever owned but when I wanted to run different kinds of chainguides...:confused...

You don't understand the hate? This place is the hatin-est place on the internet. Why do we have any less credibility than you? (person responsible for the tag) I have no affiliation with Gravity other than the fact that I was left without a crankset when my 2010 Gravity Lights bent (see...

    what do we have here?

Isn't urbanvelo a fixie site? When they say "freeriding" and "stunta trixors" are they talking about doing 180s on your steel urban fixie or are they talking bombing moar rox and huxordeegnar? If the bearings and axle can hold up to DH abuse this could be an interesting product.

    Cool homemade frame

You're referring to the actual materials used and I agree with you there. The confused young man on PB was referring to his "mad skilz" and the fact that his huxors would break the bike because it wasn't as burly as his SC Bullit. The starter went out on m car the other day so I have some...
