Oat Hill mine road is a sweet DH, super rocky, and theres a few jumps and drops to hit as well. But you gotta earn your turns and climb the damn thing. Bring your xc legs, the trail starts right at the intersection of hwy 29 and silverado trail.
Wanted: cheap (<$100) 20mm front wheel in decent shape. I'm in Santa Rosa but will travel for a good deal.

Annadel is right up the road, loads of tech xc singletrack there. Also lots of hidden goodies for intrepid explorer types.
Rockville also isn't too far, another good place to explore & mess around, no long lung buster climbs.
China Camp/Tamarancho in San Rafael both have legal singletrack...
