I don't bother with my bladder anymore either though I do it so I take fewer breaks.

I'd also recommend Tomahawk in the rear. They burn off fairly quick but in my experience they corner well and roll fast.

I disagree, I demoed one (twice) and now my current bike feels like crap. Just buy one and don't suffer like I am.

Hey Bacon Boy, I know this was posted a month ago but FWIW I'm 6' 1/2" with a 6' 3" reach (I'm a monkey!) and I'm coming of a 2010 large Intense Uzzi with a shorter front end but longer chainstay. I test rode a medium Megatrail with a 50mm stem and experienced the same thing you describe. I...

@mtg Do you guys have a deal with Fox to source X2s or would someone have to buy the frame without shock and source it themselves?

Lyrik Mico upgrade to Mico DH is causing problems

Looks like the new rebound shaft is compatible with all model years. If I'm reading the part list diagrams correctly it looks like you would just have to pull the old rebound shaft and the damper tube assembly but only replace the new rebound shaft, leave the damper tube assembly out.

I'm just looking for the pivot axle, I thought they changed from 06 to 07+. Good to know if they didn't change. Any idea on the cost?

Speaking of Avalanche I still have the 06 linkage and noticed some good wear marks on the pivot pins (Looks like some dirt got in there). Its not bad yet but looks like it will be one day. Are these available somewhere or do I have to upgrade to the more recent linkage when this wears out...

I'm just about to do it. I talked to Craig and seems like a good guy, so far I haven't heard of anything bad. They'll even work on a CVT/3

I'm not having any problems new bearings wont solve. I'd like to replace the 5th element with a DHX 5 on my 06 and was debating on replacing the linkage while I was at it. If there's not much of a difference then I'm just going to replace only the old bearings instead of buying the entire...

So this might have already been answered but why was the upper link modified in 07? If I replace the bearings with the Max-E kit found here: http://www.enduroforkseals.com/id55.html Will that eliminate the loose pivot syndrome? Or is there more to it?
