    I used a cut up inner tube wrapped around my chainring as a tensioner. Also, layered electrical tape works as a tensioner. Free, easy, works.

    This is my Solo Air at 160mm :) Lowering it is very easy to do but it might be a bit difficult if you've never taken a fork apart before. Sram Tech Manual Has everything you need to know. Pages 11, 54, and 65 should be helpful for you.

    Getting rid of tensioner on STP

    I have an STP and I run it without a tensioner or half link. Perfect ratio was 32-18 for me, bit easy but you get used to it.
