Having ridden DH for long time and also from a BMX background i have noticed that my buddies and people i meet that hate flow trails are guys that cant jump very well and thus cling to the gnar style trails. I love nasty gnar as well just making an observation....
The RC- race version Boxxers are more prone to have a mis bored hole than the team and WC models.
Its pretty hit or miss how bad its going to be and i believe AVY Craig posted some info a while back how to mitigate it.

Yes your 2wd drive is ok for shuttling. Its a paved road.
