Yes, a truly awesome weekend. Nice to see the familiar monkeys again and great to meet all you new (to me) monkeys. Of course, it's always awesome to ride that part of the world with my HomeMonkeys too.
Hope everyone got back safe.
Now get back to work. :dead:
Ask Echo. He DH'd with an ASX.
As for me, I've been happy with my Bullit for DH running a 7" DC fork. Slap on some beefy tires and adjust the 5th Element accordingly and you're all set.
It was great to meet and ride with some new (to me) monkeys this year at the 4th annual 'fest, not to mention "the regulars." I will try to get on and post more often.
Thanks to:
Treesaw for getting the place and bringing and cooking the grub for our smelly asses.
Brungeman for the excellent...
Figure I'd poke my face in here for a sec. Yes, nice writeup, Echo.
I don't have the officially unofficial timing boxtop, but here's some random thoughts about my team (5-person Jackalopes): Felt bad seeing Instigator and Crashby suffering the effects of heat on the gut, but props to them on...
Man, I imagined it was beautiful from your stories the other day, but the pics really prove it.
Remind me to cockpunch you out of jealousy when I see you. :D
Gaaah! Sounds like some vendors I know -- get to bill 2x for the same job.
They should've withheld full payment until they Q-A'd the dang thing.
Couldn't have had a better weekend. It was good to get my wreck out of the way early so I could enjoy the rest of the ride on Saturday. :D
Nice to meet monkeys like JRogers and berkshire_rider, to get better acquainted with monkeys like Crazy Sweeper and McGRP01, and to see those like Pigboy...
Rode Letchworth on Sunday -- not as hot as yesterday, but man did I sweat! Frustrating ride 'cause the place was overgrown in a bunch of spots, wet in other places. Just as you got your tires cleared out from one muddy spot, you'd hit another. :mumble:
Rode Dryer Park (Victor) trails last...
That's reason enough to celebrate. I take forever to set up and always have to redo something or other.
I'll have to stay the F outta your way if we ever happen to cross paths on the trail. I can't drink while I'm riding. :dead:
