Ahh....$50?
Obviously it's used so make sure to have it checked out first.
If it's over 4 years old forget about it.
I doubt it has disc brakes or decent components.

For some reason I'm not a fan of these bikes but a lot of people talk very highly of them.
Great components for the price.
Anyone else here know much about these bikes?
Found this thread for you.

Also do some looking around...visit other bike forums and online bike shops and name brand bikes to compare pricing.
And also let your son test ride a few different brands as well.
The bike you mentioned is not even a good entry level bike....it's crap for the most part.
How much are you wanting to spend on a bike?
And what type of riding are you going to do?
If you're limit is $350 go with a hard tail and be careful of buying used.
Try your LBS first and get a feel...
We could give you a list of bikes a mile long that price between $500 and $1000.
But the best thing for you to do is find a bike shop and test ride a few bikes first.
But for now do some research on the subject.
I'll repeat myself.
Right or wrong, good or bad we should respect that.
Granted they don't want to be over there and I sure the hell wouldn't be over there myself.
And I doubt I would suck a C*** if I had a gun to my head.
But if I had to pin a tag on a "hero" I wouldn't put it on a over...
Respect is what we have to give up.
For the most part they are fighting for a cause with a gun in there hand. Something that a lot of us would not want to do.
Right or wrong, good or bad we should respect that.
