hmmm decent price for one of those ... not sure about if a carbon fork would be strong enough for my weight though ... never seen one in person before.
i would like to keep it around 1,300$ for the whole bike ....
yeah i am seriously considering one of the closeout frames from Soul Cycles ...
i need a small frame (15" or 16")
the Kona Unit matches the dimensions of the Dillinger pretty closely .. and is a steel frame ... but the...
Okay, i am still enjoying my Soul Cycles 29er that i built up a while back ... but now i am also considering a dedicated SS 29er ... here comes my problem ... limited experience with the other choices out there ...
these are the ones i am considering
Misfitpsycles diSSent 29er

as it sits currently, with the new bars, stem, brakes, saddle, wheelset.
going to find a smaller saddle bag soon, just tossed that big thing on real quick before the last ride to put a tube in, just in case.
i have a pair of hand made moccasins ... but no crocs ... meh, if i was to wear something like that i would just go back to the 80's and get me some flip-flops.
you can get the frame from ridesoul.com ... for around 350ish ... and the fork from them as well ... the rest of the build were just random parts mostly from ebay ... the wheelset is off of a motobecane 29er .. wouldn't reccomend them. replacing them soon on mine ...
to me there is no wrong side, i just put it on the side where i don't get another burn from a hot rotor ...
on the geared bike tho it is on the other side because of the derailer ...
just got back from Lincoln Parish Park in ruston ... took the SS ... was almost scared i was goin to be walking most of it ... i managed to ride up every hill i had to .. twice (did two laps) ... only walked a few spots that were a little more technical then i am ready for.
that trail was...
i just went through the bottom part you asked, it depends mostly on quality of the equipment you want ... but i would say bare min for a geared buildup including a suspension fork .. you are looking at about 900 to 1100 plus labor if you can't do it yourself.
if you shop around tho and buy...
not having other gears to switch to when you think you need them? ...
i thought that was going to be a big issue before i tried one out ... but overall it isn't that much of an issue, esp when the trails are mostly flat or just slightly hilly ...
ermmm .. last time i put much more thought into my shoes other then how they feel was way back in the 80's when i was either in some Vision Street Wears .. or Converse All-Star Super hightops ... (most of em had duct tape wrapped around em tho because i kept grinding the sides of em down on my...
last time i doused a laptop with a drink it was sweet tea .. i just turned it off .. pulled it apart, cleaned it up with rubbing alch ... then let it air dry for a few days and put it back together and it is still working to this day.
okay, just wasnt sure if i had the chain to tight ... everything still rotates freely .. but the chain doesn't hardly bounce at all ...
will put the SS dropout on there when i put the new cog on ... should i use a drop of loctite on those bolts? .. or on the ones for the EBB for that matter...
