I know that Obtainium only makes 3" stroke springs for all different stroke shocks. I have a titanium spring from my old giant glory that is 3" stroke and my question is will it work properly on my trek session 88 with a 2.75" stroke? will it compromise anything?

after putting new oil in the fork and greasing the seals the fork feels worlds better. i cant wait to try it out tomorrow and compare it to today's ride.
