Any of you noticed the italian guy in the beginning of the full replay? His Fox 40 looks very broken. He appears to have about 3 inches of travel available throughout his race run.
Is it important to lube your stanchions and rear shock shaft with stanchion lube every once in a while?
I do this before every ride, along with pumping my tires and lubing my chain, but I was wondering whether this is generally deemed necessary.

I suspect you have got a Fox Float that has become stuck down. You can either open it up yourself (very carefully since there is a lot of pressure stuck in the negative air chamber) and service it or send it in...
I've got pretty big hands. When I switched to Oury's, the difference was unreal. Got a pair for my xc bike too. I can't ride a bike with thin or normal grips any more. Sometimes I even wish for something even thicker, but then again I am used to holding something thicker..
