On the cable lever on the bottom of the post... Mine broke during installation. It was in pieces when I pulled the post out. Think it must have contacted the side of the seat tube but Fox was great and quickly placed under warranty. It was replaced with a much more durable machined aluminum...

Been riding a first generation Nomad for about 4 years. Time to upgrade. Having trouble deciding between the new carbon Nomad and a Reign XO. Love my old Nomad but read that the 2nd generation Nomads had a little different ride. Not a fan of air shocks so I like the DXH coil option but the...
2nd vote for homemade studded tires. I used them 2 seasons in Minnesota at several dhill events. Don't add much if it's slushy but they work well in icy conditions. Takes a while to pre-drill all the holes but they hold up well. Just don't us too tall of a tire or you might get some nasty...
Can most likely have a susp tuner reduce the stroke but I've never seen a homemade reducer. Just need to limit the stroke with an internal bumper or something. You could send a note to Push Industries and see what they recommend.
Great instructions. Just did my 66 and the noise is gone and it feels way smoother at the top of it's travel. Went ahead and changed the oil and what a difference. Took quite a while to file down though. My plugs weren't "loose" when I reinstalled but I could easily pull the plugs on and off...
I'll bet you'd like the Nomad. Been riding mine for all season with no issues. Great blend between my Heckler (never felt very comfortable on it) and my Foes Fly. I can pedal the same XC singletrack on my Nomad faster than I ever could on my Heckler...even with a stout build on the Nomad. I...
66RC2X.... Hands down. I had a 36R for a while and it was too linear for my weight (220lbs) Seemed to almost bottom out in the driveway with the heavy springs installed. Performed well on the trails but dove through the travel downhill over big rocks/logs almost throwing me over the bars...
Sure...drop me a note. Spirit Mtn by Duluth has some great riding.
I tuffed out the cold and rode the Nomad on a local trail yesterday. Homemade studded Michy Comp 16 & 24. They weigh about 5 pounds a piece but hook up well on ice. Anyway, the Nomad with the 170mm 66 seems to pedal better...
Lux....relax. No harm meant to James. I'm sure the guy rides great. It was toolish clip that was very enjoyable to watch. Even better he didn't get injured. I know we've all got similar highlights to laugh at.
With the 66 and 2.5" dh tires, the bb measures 14.5" from ground to center. The 170mm '06 66 is about 22" from center to the top of the crown.
I chose the 66 over the Fox just to make it a bit more aggressive. I had an '06 Van R on my Heckler and it was super smooth right out of the box...
I'm 6' and just picked up a medium Nomad. Seems to fit great. Similar geometry to my old 18" Stinky D and med Foes Fly. I'm running a 170mm 66rc2x so the head angle is a little slacker than stock but it fit's great. Not much riding yet here in Minnesota but the DHX air seems to be holding...
That's awesome...my wife used to ride regularly with me. Even liked jumping and natural dhill trails. Climbed and descended Wilson's ridge several times. We had a little girl a couple years ago so quit riding. I think she's finally ready to start back. She seemed a little re-energized by...
