I work as a Risk Manager at a non-bank financial company. I like that.
Somehow I have people reporting into me as well. Not so fond of that.
I've also worked the opposite side of the desk in sales with a bank, was ok as long as I was dealing with sophisticated borrowers, hated the...
400 Bucks ;-)
I loved it. It's nice to see vids where it's about riding and guys having fun. I find the big-budget movies a little too full of themselves.. only problem with Allout is there wasn't any Allout stickers in with the DVD :(
The vibe is always good in these films. Always makes me want to get on the bike and ride... that or throw the bike on the back of the car and head south again for vacation...
I can't wait to pick this one up...
I remember seeing a pic of a bottle of scotch, a tumbler, and some sketches of mountain bike geometry... that was an art pic... tried to find it on the forums but I'll be damned if I can read the jumble of 6 letters/numbers in the search function. I think Ska Todd posted it?
I had a 6" sherman slider on mine. Even then the geometry was pretty slack, so 200mm would be a little too raked out. With 6" up front the bike felt like a mini DH bike.. with rediculous standover. I loved it but my body reminded me it wasn't a DH bike after weekends riding Garbanzo at Whistler
I've got a 2007 Pike 426 Dual Air U-Turn and love it. Most of the time it sits at 110mm on the hardtail.
Haven't used it since Nov 2008 (new baby as well I've been riding a different bike - Trek Fuel EX8) and it's barely lost any air.
I do prefer the Pike over the Fox Float 140RL that came on...
Go for it. It's less busy than in the summer, it's cooler during the day, mornings are crisp, and the alpine is beautiful as it changes color in the late fall. Trails usaully benefit from some late-season repair and the dew at night makes for some tacky yet fast conditions
I'm Canadian and 35 and seen more than my fair share of early WWF...
What was his saying "Iron Sheik #1! Hulk Hogan, phooey!"
Didn't he used to team up with Nikolai Volkov all the time?
I guess those 700c wheels aren't as flimsy as I thought.
I figured one of the bummer parts of going to a 700c wheel for commuting is you couldn't hit some of the root booters or little drop-offs when riding to work...
