    i ride every weekend...but then the weather is very humid... if i want it to look shiny i have to wax it but i cant really be f00ked... since it rusts anyways i dont really mind leaving dirt on the frame

    great review..im ride a 951 myself too and i like it a lot make sure you look after the vpp linkage, the screws that hold the top part together and the bearings...i have 1 screw cracked and 5 bearings on my frame went after 10 months...the bottom linkage also comes loose occasionally if its not...

    mines fine...i am on a 09 boxxer race with team damper and push kit but... i can hear this "vacuum" sound when i compress my forks (think fox dhx shocks with not enough air in the reservoir) and its puking oil at where the damper screws into the fork (not the flood gate) i have replaced...

    i had ebc red pads for front ebc gold pads for rear when i was using my codes... im now using ebc gold for front and original sinistered for rear using juicy 7s... there are 3 compounds for ebc brake pads and 2 compounds for original avid pads... ebc red - best performance but wear rate is...

    reasons not to get the 951 a - all the bearings on the left side of my bike are stuck down after a few months i grease them every ride through the zerk fitting and disassemble every part on the rear every 3 months to clean it b - there is a rubbing mark on my bottom vpp linkage for some...

    imo the more comfortable the gloves are...the less protection they give you.. im using a pair of race face deux xc gloves for downhill at the moment.. they are very comfortable but the straps that hold them always comes loose... but then my gloves are a tight fit so they dont slip off my hands...

    check the bearings and the linkages and see if they are worn.. but you have to take the rear apart to see that.. but then you can order replacements from santa cruz so it isnt really a problem..

    how come no one makes a trail bike with 5~6 inches of travel and 63-65 degree head angle? i think that'd be the best thing for people to get into the world of dh but dont want a downhill bike to begin with front end stability without the need of dc fork and pretty much a dh oriented all around bike

    i am using a cane creek double xc flush myself..still working fine after a year and a half..on two bikes..i used the bearings for a few months with a -1.5 degree headset as well
