I second the soft issue. I run mine with extra heavy springs and it's great. It's also the '04, so the travel is 100mm. This must really help with the "flex" issues that poeple are always bitching about, cause I've never had any with this fork. It rode well on my P1, but it is a bit heavy...
I'm surprised this thread surfaced again. So the cog was easy to get off with a chainwhip and cassette tool. A little filing and the cassette is as good as new. King cog for me next time though...
Five stars for this thread! It's been a ****ty day and this thread just made me laugh out loud. This is by far the best thread I've seen on here in weeks. (maybe I just have a weird sense of humor)
This is unverified, but a friend told me you had to disconnect your front brake to ride there. ( SB = Santa Barbara right?)
It's super fun though. Wish I had something like that where I'm living now. Then again, it'd be covered with snow anyway...
I have a fury 24''. Most of the parts are good but the cranks look scary and the threads in them began stripping the day I got the bike. Brakes suck too, but you can't get everything for that price. Overall, I've been impressed with it, and those are my only two real complaints. If you...
no can do on the Funn. I won't be using a 20mm with this fork. Not too sure about the aesthetics of the surly fork. The DMR is tits looking, but heavy and pricey. What can someone tell me about the Gusset? or perhaps Gusset products in general? How's the quality?
Gusset Jury Disc or DMR trailblade? Will be used for urban, but I'm not insane or anything. Will see a moderate amount of abuse. I'll be putting it on a large P1.
I forget how close Ojai is the the ocean, but I wouldn't own anything steel near the coast. It'll rust like crazy near all that salt water. I just bought a P1 A1. I really like it, but it handles like a mountain bike, not super quick like a BMX. If you're looking for a big BMX go for the 24...
Reliable sources tell me he doesn't really ride a mongoose. But if supergo will get intense to make me a bike, I'll put weyless stickers all over the damn thing and ride the crap out of it.
So it sounds like those in the know think the frame is poo. That's too bad. The parts are good, but...
What's this about a flexy rear end? How do you know? Have you ridden one of these before?
I would say there are two things that could be a problem. The first is of course the quality, but that couldn't worse than alot of name brand bikes( cough cough trek cough cough). The second is the...
it's got Holzfellers, Z150, RAD tubing, Vice Stem, hayes hydros, decent WTB wheels, and a swinger piggyback. Something must be wrong with this bike that its selling for so cheap. Is supergo just so big that it can still make money at that price?
Seems like anywhere in Philly can be a threat to your life. I can definately see skaters being punks about that sort of thing. Anywhere else good to ride around here?
I just finished watching Killing Time. During the video, they ride an outdoor skatepark in philly called FDR. Seeing as I just moved here and I haven't found that much good riding so far, I was wondering if anyone here might know where FDR is and also some other places to ride.
