do you want to buy new or used? for most companies you'd be looking at a large or xL frame (19-23") are you riding just dh/fr or are you looking to do some climbiung with it too?
its an easy fix because all post style brakes you can adjust by undoing the mount bolts that attach the caliper to the adaptor. then squeez brake lever a few times, then lock up the brake and tighten the bolts back up.
also tried the zip tie method and still squeaks. i haven't had anytime to go...
so heres my problem. my rear brake squeaks really loud. i have cleaned the pads and rotor. i even trieds a different caliper but yet it still squeaks. what else should i try?
edit: brakes are shimano m485. the rotor has been refaced, bedded in and the cleaned. the rotor looks like this...
i was doing the same thing as you were about 4 months ago. i have a bigfoot and i used it for free ride, dj, am and some dh. the stock dj3 was lacking some adjustments and travel(120mm). so after some searching, found a pike 454, lyrik solo air and a 66 rc3. the only on ei wouldnt have to lower...
so im looking for new ones for next year. my peaty grips are worn down to the plastic and a the stock pedal pins a warn down enough to be slippery. max i would be looking to spend would be $100 on pedals and $50 on grips. grips must be lock-ons. For the pedals, removable pins would be nice.
found a new dh/fr trail that im able to build on. theres a forest and no one goes in it. so nothing will get taken down. what should i build? any ideas for some shore stuff?
i plan on getting a full suspension bike for next season. ive only owned hard tails. would this be a good starter fully? what other bikes should i look at? im not sure on the price range yet.
