Maybe if it was a single trail in isolation, but this is part of a wider project by NZs department of conservation to link to an existing shared trail- multi day hike type trails...
It‘s a duel use (walking and riding) trail in a national park- can’t exactly be gnarcore now can it champ?
The trail is also located in an area that gets 7+ metres of annual rainfall which impacts how the trail has to build to be sustainable.
Sundays are pretty solid frame/structural wise but you need to be weary of the linkages/pivot hardware. If there is any play it should be looked at more closely.
That was just my experience/thoughts of going from the Sunday to the Turner, similar but more "polished". Try going from a Foes mono to a Sunday, that is night and day different!
Rob has been working on a part (indented wheel, the bit that clicks) to adapt an X9 shifter. Mate of mine has been on one of the first prototypes for a few months now and it seems to be working fine. Much better than the alfine apparently.
