Working with very wet soil, anything to set itup

Does anyone know anything that would make working with very wet greesy soil easier? It's winter now and we are trail building very messy. Our ground is mossy and greasy and sticky and doesnt always go down to rock. Is there anything that would help the the ground to 'set' a bit?

Boxxer 2010 - Using drop crown to slacken head angle?

Cheers UDI. So far (not ridden it off road) i'm happy anyway, so as long as it doesn't put extra strain on the boxxers that they fail? With a small frame the wheel base is now 46" (nearly same as stock large!) the Head angle is now 62.6 (i'll have to double check this properly again) and the...

Boxxer 2010 - Using drop crown to slacken head angle?

Hi, Ive been running a flat crown on my IronHorse Sunday with -2*Cups and 2010 boxxer teams. There is about 2mm of crown showing above the top crown and i've had no problems. I have now put on a drop crown and slid the stanchion up so there is still 2mm showing about the top crown. This...

Has anyone gone from a small to a medium sunday? I have the option to go up a size and I have always found my sunday a bit small even with 2 degree cups. the only issue i see is that the only difference seems to be 1" longer effective top tube length. would this even be noticeable enough to...

I'm 5.10" and on a small sunday. Its taken -2 degree cups and 780mm bars and 50mm stem to just about not feel cramped. I usually ride tight tracks so its ok but when I was in NZ and open rocky fast places at high speed it wasnt too stable. would love to try M or L

Cheers UDI, really appreciate that. when i mention the hardware i mean the bolts mainly. I have replaced a good few as the originals are made of cheese compared to most bikes. yes my split pin is on non drive side. i have let it soak and tried 'shock and unlock' spray and threaded in a long...

Not stressin at all, havn't measured the WB but it just feels loose and not planted at high speed. I'm not trying to get the perfect internet angels, infact i haven't a clue of even my HA but i know how it feels sometimes and wouldn't mind trying something different. every little helps :weee:

Cheers Sandwich, I've anti seize ordered now. Seems like the best to use alright. I'm 5'10" on a small Sunday and the wheelbase at 44.25" can get a bit hairy on faster sections..anyone used the head angle cups to rake out the front on their Sundays? does it lengthen the bike much?

Cheer the McMaster Carr place looks great. I have an 09 Sunday so i dont think i need the "Big Bolt Kit" for the upper shock mount. Just out of interest would the shouldered bolts not have threads on the end as opposed the existing bolt accepting another bolt ? Ie parts 2 and 4? Think I'm going...

Has anyone upgraded all their hardware/bolts? I hate when bolt heads ring and you have trouble getting them off and Iron Horse do seem to come with crappy bolts (or user over tightening :D ) anyway i was looking at replacing the seatstay bolts with the likes of these tapered head M8 sockets...
