    96'er FR rig? freak build

I don't know about how all that would affect geo and what not, but I used a lefty for freeride/light downhill for a little while last season and never had an issue with the fork. I did fold the front rim though, but it was the stock rim, so if you do it just make sure you lace the hub to a solid...

    100 acre wood rally

To me it looks like Ford's rally cars have a slightly shorter wheelbase than Subaru's. I think that in some of the real tight turns, especially ones with barricades on both sides, that having a shorter car could be an advantage. Am I right, or just making stuff up here? I just remember that at...

Flat Pedals for a clipless geek

What do you guys think about the crank brothers mallet pedals. I am interested in them because sometimes I like to clip in when part of the trail is a little smoother and flowy, but when things get sketchy i like to be able to have a flat pedal to ride. Anyone used them? Opinions?

XC Bike Needs New Brakes. Suggestions?

if you are worried about stopping power, for another 6 bucks a piece you can get bb7's with 203 rotors. Thats what I run on my downhill/freeride bike and I have never had any problems with stopping power, and I weigh about 215 plus gear. I just really like the adjustability you get with...

XC Bike Needs New Brakes. Suggestions?

Are you set on going with hydraulic brakes? because on an XC bike mechanicals should have plenty of stopping power, and will be a lot cheaper. You can pick up a set of Avid bb7's (front and back) online for around 140 plus shipping for everything. I like the bb7's because they are so easy to...

It has an e-type (BB mount) front derailleur, and it originally came with a full triple ring set up, so I am hoping the derailleur should be alright.

My uncle has a Christini AWD bike, and using similar drive technology i think the BMX concept that Bushwhacker posted the link to could definitely be made into a reality.

Chain rings, Can I go 24/36 up front?

I have a 2004 Specialized Big Hit, it has the 24 inch rear wheel, and right now it has 22/32 on the chainrings up front. Can I swap them out for a 24/36 setup and still have it shift alright. I would like to do this to make up for the gear difference you feel with the smaller rear wheel. I would...

    Bad CS from jensonusa

I haven't ever ordered from Jensen, but I have used their prices to price match at pricepoint. Pricepoint has always been great to me and has always matched any lower price I have found. I have just had to email them the link to the lower priced item. Their service has always been quick and...
