The Official Iron Horse Sunday / DW-Link Tech. & Tuning Section

For those who may be interested - I just posted my beloved Sunday on ebay... :( Very sad to see it go, but the only action it's seen the past few years has been XC rides where I rode it just because I hadn't ridden it in so long. I'm afraid of selling it because I know I may never, ever find...

    espresso + habanero hot sauce?

I don't think the fact that it's free.. or close.. quite makes up for the fact that your drinking melted wax. The hotsauce probably counteracts it though, so its cool.

    pit stick for your junk?

Gold Bond MEDICATED Powder. It's like having your own personal midget assistant gently blowing your swampy parts all day right after using mouthwash.

Need Help from the Wrench Monkeys!!

This frame design? If it is, I can measure one on Wednesday. As far as shocks go, for that bike I would recommend the Roco. The dw-link works best without a platform, which the fox has, the Roco does not. I have no experience with x-fusions.. so can't say. I put a Roco on a...

    small womens dh bike

Unfortunately, I'll be selling my wife's small Giant Reign-X soon. We got it as her DH bike and she's literally ridden it twice. She just never got into gravity stuff where we live now. PM me if your remotely interested. It's literally like new with a couple of upgraded parts for lightness.

    Internet phones...?

Use Skype. I use it for my business and get unlimited calls to land lines for $3 per month per person. And people can call from home, the office, wherever. You can do international unlimited plans for $4-5 month. Then go to fry's or radioshack and get a headset for $20-$40. I...

    Who's done a century?

I've done one, and it was awesome. At that time I had never really ridden more than 65miles straight. It really wasn't that bad. Tour de Santa Cruz - 100 miles and 10,000 ft of climbing.. the feeling of persistance, mental clarity, and time to think are what I really got out of it. I...

    what to do this summer...

Firefighting with the forest service is hard, hard work. Makes great money though as during a fire they pretty much work round the clock and get great overtime/hazard pay. 6 months work. 6 months school. Repeat.

Worth thinking about. - graduated college - didn't want a 'job' so built a few houses - rode bikes lots - got a 'job', rode bikes less. - watched sister get married. - 'job' let to excellent promotions and money - started riding bike excessively - watched several friends get married...
