You could be over tightening the bearings, I know that I felt this happen when I over tightened the link on my V10. Make sure you torque to manufactures specs and to start just tighten till there is no play and see how that feels (as long as that is less then the torque spec, for my V10 it was)...
It won't be bad at all if you aren't bottoming it out. I am over 200lbs with gear on and I run the stock Blue spring in. They are just recommendations, you just have to find what works for you!
Awesome build thread, the amount of detail you went into is awesome for anybody looking for info on this frame or even any of the components you used! That's one very dialed bike!
A buddy of mine rides with these; http://raceface.com/protection/legs/dig-knee-protection/
He seems to like them, but I don't have any first hand experience.
I run a 36 up front and a 11-26 in the rear and am pretty content with it. My local bike park has a bit of a trek across to most of the runs so having up to the 26 is normally enough for me, even when you are worn out at the end of the day. Plus with a 36 you can get away with a smaller guide up...
What size are you looking for? I have a Large I'm looking to sell for a bit more with a much better then stock build. PM me if you want to know more!
Solid bike though, was lots of fun! And the HA is 66* but for mine with an 888 set as low as it can it still comes out to in the 65* 's.
A buddy of mine and I both ride with THE Industries Storm Leg guards and both find them to be great! Great protection, very comfortable even when riding all day (not super hot either) and don't slide down at all.
Friend of mine was having similar problems when he had his boxxer, no small bump compliance, didn't feel supple, didn't feel nice overal. He removed the drop stop and used a lighter weight of oil in the lowers (the lighter weight oil in the lowers made him need to move up a spring rate) and he...
As long as the coil is the proper Diameter it should work as long as you can get it on, but it will most likely be pretty tight. Just remember it needs a 38mm inner diameter so Springs that fit Fox, Manitou, Elka, etc wont fit.
I have the GPX Moto Club II and it is very nice. I wouldn't go with the adventure unless you try it on and can adjust it for all of your needs. But I personally would recommend the GPX Moto Club II although that is a Moto brace, or you can go with the DBX Comp. Basically the main difference...
Muddy Marys are really nice! I just switched to them from HR/ DHF and I like these a lot more. I have them on 823's with some stans and they seat up really well, no problems here for me or any of my friends running them.
2.35 Muddy Marys do fit the V10 (multiple friends I ride with swear by this tire, will be the next one I try, good for all conditions) with no problems and is about the same size as 2.5 Maxxis Tires.
