True.. My bad ..missed the angle bit.
Although the enduro/ cane creek version will by default slacken out the H.A if the bike currently used a zero stack head set with the 44mm head tube, going external by 20 mm or so should slacken it out almost a degree. using some offset bushes to bring the...
It hasn't seemed to have caused any issues so far, as in no reported failures on this thread at least.
i've done it to mine, most people leave around a 5mm border, myself included. i.e don't cut hard up against the "cage".
It makes adjusting the air in the shock far easier as well as accessing...
yep my bad, i do mean "out" from fully closed.
after a short ride on the w/end i'm now running 11 out lsc, 8 out hsc other settings the same.
just checking in regards to boost volume, i wind it all the way in for closed and if the bike tends to slow down/catch on square edges i assume i...
just picked up a an rc4 for my sunday. i need advise for what settings i should be starting with for the sunday.
these are the generic starting figures which i used from fox, but haven't any time to get out on a dh track as yet,i've just been making small adjustments riding the bike in the...
sorry semi grave dig.
opposite experience, i love mine.
I'm 6'2" and My XL has a static 67.5 deg degree HA but I run mine with 30% sag, so it slackens out a touch and has a low BB. i sometimes put a 190 x 50 coil shock in it instead of the 200 x 50 to get the BB really low, too low for general...
"Stromlo forest park" is what you need to google.it's a public facility, the dh is open 365 days a year, along with the xc trails, 4x and skills area's.
As above poster mentioned a new (2nd ) top section was opened and used for the national round last weekend. footage on dirt ,pinkbike etc etc.
I saw a carbon session at a dealer demo day last week, didn't realize this thread existed otherwise i would have spent more time going over it, sorry didn't have a camera with me.
it wasn't on display(stored in a back area) or able to be ridden, we were only allowed to look at it due to who i...
last year it was 30-35's slog, with a starting speed around 35-40km/hr.
This year should be around 15-20 second slog, although they will be starting the slog a lot faster at around 60km/hr and keep that speed alot closer to the finish than last year.
i'm thinking 2.25 for the win.
Average...
i'm not sure the short travel bike is such a great idea, mainly due to being able to carry enough speed through the rock gardens (which are never shown on any footage).
I think you need all the travel you can get through those sections at the speed the riders hit them at and maintain it.
It's...
no it uses the 9.5 x 3.0 size.
you can get the 5th rebuilt/modified to a shim stack by avalance, otherwise you will need a "red" lower link from '06 models to run any other shock apart from the fifth.
unfortunately your going to have to hunt around for one. Or try and locate a full F7 link...
Well it must have been my lucky day, i saw sam do 2 runs during practise on monday, he's a such a smooth rider.
That bike is soooo quiet, you only hear the tyres and thats it!.
Graves should also be named "mr muscle", my GF recons his ass belongs to a silverback gorilla.
Ragot would put...
I guess another option would be to propose a wc event at a suitable location under the guise of MTBA, instead of a specific club.
The local club who's track is being used could be part of a commitee of clubs around the country, and use the knowledge and experience of various clubs to put on the...
The only major problem with a WC event at buller is that it's covered in snow the entire WC season.
So unless they arrange an OZ summer WC event you can pretty much forget it.
Considering it's supposed to be a "world cup", i think a southern hemisphere summer event(s) should be considered...
I think it was a good idea for tracy to wear the skinsuit and it paid off for her, since the coarse is so open and is windy the least resistance the better.
She probably remembered from her experience at the aussie nationals in january how windy it gets on that track. i'm surprised she was the...
I think some of the antics crossed the line at triple treat, there is lighthearted humour and there is downright stupidity.
Especially assaulting a marshall who was there to minimise any chance of disruption to a riders RACE run and giving up their time to do so. Yes throwing cans of beer at...
