I was off work yesterday and the wildest thing happened. I was at the grocery store had gone through the check out line and was walking past the express line. I made eye contact with a woman who was just finishing checking out herself so I said hi and went over to the info/add board most stores...
Does anyone know the height of the oil WITH the springs in, I know the height without the springs is 175mm, I just don't want to take apart the fork if I don't have to, spring removal is not as straight forward as a Super T or Jr T.
Thanks
Can the travel in these fork be changed? I have a 2001 that definatly only has 4" of travel, I bought it used........it fork came off a 2001 Big Hit comp....I checked around and even found and old bike test featureing the Big hit comp and sure enough these forks had 5" of travel.
any ideas?
Can the travel of these forks be changed?
I recently bought a used 2001 Z3 wedge to go along with a 2001 Big Hit Comp I also bought used (matching fork for that bike). Any way these forks are supposed to have 5" of travel... well this one dosen't.
I just recently built up this little ride...
Bottom line you need new spokes, 24" wheels typically have 230-240mm spoke lengths while a 26"spoke can range anywere from 250 to 270mm depends on wheel/hub combo and cross pattern.
As an example a 24" single track has a 230m spoke length while a 26" single track has a 266mm spoke length...
Thanks for the info, I 'm not sure which model it even is, I just bought it on a whim. It's yellow with red lettering and has dragons on it, I'll check out which model when I get home.
True.....so true... it's not the size of the drop but the size of your smile. I remember when I first got into FR/DHing and pushing my limits, wheelie dropping off a pick table made me think twice.
Now when I go out to Vancouver and ride The Shore I look at some of the real big stuff out there...

Your right on the money most women don't need big burly FR/DH parts if for no other reason then the weight thing, plus women seem to be smoother and not as agressive as the guys.
My wifes bike is a 2002 4x4 with XC wheels/tires/tube, cranks and bars.

Hi gal's
I've been sitting in the shadows watching this forum for a bit now, some of you ladies are hard core and seem to be acomplished riders. I've been woundering what aspect of FR/DHing you find the most difficult to find parts/clothing for that, feels right. My wife rides tons and I...
Since you already use them on the road you know how to get out of them. It sounds like you might have them set up with too much release pressure. Back them right off, this will also help you with being a smoother all round rider, why, because with the low release pressure your foot will come...
