Been thinkin' for a while now to upgrade my old M665 SLX's.. just not enough power for real riding which is causing arm pump aaand makking for less control. I've had my eye on the Zee's for a while as well, but after reading various sources of similar information, i figured why not save some...
I was actually thinking of doing the same. Did some searching and a good choice would be a 26" tire for stationary trainers. Aaaand, it could come out half the price of the procore system. Still though, that funky dual direction valve makes a lot of sense..
Exactly, everyone who had ridden the bikes knows what i'm talking about. It really is a shame the designs fell through the floor boards. The problems that needed to be fixed were seriously minor flaws that required the least bit of tweaking in a ver.2 design, but they were there and they...
hmmm...
Personally i'd like to see some of the cooler and more radical designs come back and/or make it:
And of course:
Lotta good stuff capitalism managed to snuff out.
imHo.. Gwin said it himself, the bike was great for him on bmx type tracks in the US. Put that super low pivot on a rough european track and there you have it.. hopefully the inevitable demise of the big S's over marketed FSR design!!
Get it warrantied asap. My friend had this happen to him on his SX trail. At one moment behind me i heard a loud noise, figured a rock jumped up and hit his frame, but several seconds later i heard my friend screaming like a madman.. turned around expecting to see a broken leg or something...
Corsair Crown , Roco WC low leverage tune and 5wt oil.. very linear suspension
Running the 10.5" shock @ 200mm travel 26% sag (250lb spring)
.. great with a SC fork for poppy fun riding, works out well with the linear suspension.. usually this isn't enough sag for me on more progressive...
Looks like the same lamp i posted in the original post. Probably gonna go that route. Other reviews say that its very under-driven, netting something under 1500 lumens, which by looking at pictures of the beam looks like a LOT of light. Also they seem to run generally just warm with no chance...
Nice option as well. I've looked at pics of 1x clones as well, and i'm pretty sure that one 3x clone is much much more light, so at the moment that seems like the best option for me. Unless someone has a better option! :D
I'm on the hunt for lighting solutions and figured someone on here might have some useful info. I'm looking at grabbing one of these 3x XML clones which seem to be pretty solid.

the OP seems to love his Session.. why change it!!? Call up elka, push, avy or whoever you like, and get the suspension working the way you want. The Session is NOT a low pivot.. the axle path isn't as shallow as you might think. Heck the main pivot is about 36 tooth chainring height isn't it...
Sad to hear that the old Corsair bikes aren't being refined and going into production again. They were just a few small steps off from perfect. Loved my Maelstrom and my friend is now loving it as well, and my Crown is serving me just fine.
I was actually hoping Hyper might revive something of...
